Bert Jones

In 1990, Jones participated in the first NFL QB challenge. He finished 1st in the retiree category and 3rd in the regular competition. (The regular competition taking the top 3 finishers from the alumni competition and adding them to the regular field of current QBs). Given his strong performance, Bobby Beathard, then the GM of the Chargers, wanted Jones to come out of retirement. Bert was 39 at the time and chose not to try a comeback.

I think Brian was 38 when he went back into the NFL. Hes one of the reasons that I tell parents to get the Football playing kids into deep snapping. Get the kids down to the lineman camp in Thibodeaux with Jessie Daigle and Pete Jenkins. Get them to the Snap Dr.(Google this guy). It might payoff one day.

The former LSU QB?

In high school, James was a First-Team All-State Wide Receiver by his sophomore year, and in his junior year he had over 1,000 yards to go along with 52 catches and 15 touchdowns.
James was a highly touted recruit who loved the game of football, but decided to forgo his senior year in fear of an NBA-jeopardizing injury.
Had LeBron James decided to play his senior year and go on to play college football, today we might be looking at a completely different NFL.
At 6'8" and at 250 lbs with a timed 4.40 40-yard dash, I can't think of anyone in the NFL that could come close to covering the Ohio native.
ETA: Further research has him at 4.5 or 4.6 also. So, anywhere in the 4.4-4.6 range.

Not many kids run a true low 4.4 time.
