What is going on with Smith is likely this.

He is acting like a spoiled little bitch who thought he would be handed a starting position. The depth chart came out and he was given the straight talk that he didn't earn a position.

We can't have that shite on a football team that is as talented as we are. Was being told to stand up and put his helmet on during practice? If he can't do that, he is no good to us.
I hated coaches that let players get away with shite. It undermines the whole team concept, something I am glad O is instilling into the program after Miles coddled these kids and played to their egos a la Mack Brown.

He is a great motivator and has assembled a better coaching staff than Miles.
I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

You made your point 50 freakin times already in this thread, now shut up. You're beyond an annoying little bitch at this point.

Please tell me you are not trying to compare Kissing Tom Herman of Houston Cougar fame to Nick Saban of multiple national championship fame?

Bye! No tolerance for kids scared of competition. Leaving after one year? I wish him luck, but if he's leaving it's because he doesn't think he can beat the other guys. The best dudes will play, plain and simple.

you don't feel there's a difference in taking over a talented but under achieving team under a stagnant regime and getting them to beat teams they should beat vs. building and maintaining your own program?

but his bullshite PR campaign to get the job pissed me off (he's not a Cajun, he was vocally against LSU for decades, and he was/is a drunk with a restraining order against him).

LSU 2006, Does this look like people bitching about Alleva or Someone attacking O personally? I know I don't understand, please help me understand this type of Defaming Character Assassination?

Coach O deserves this garbage because Savion Smith transferred?

It's a shame you allow yourself to be associated with these type of people.

Vanderbilt? The team Orgeron lost to twice at Ole Miss?

Damn really? Was that recent like Saban's losses to UAB and ULM?

I think Macho Man's 303 yards and loss to SMU and 287 yards against Tulane were a matter of single-digit months ago. Not ancient history.

What? I don't know or associate with one solitary soul in here.

The thing about being a drunk and having a restraining order is cheap. That was in like 1989. People mature. I have no reason to believe he isn't a good father and husband. I don't know or care if he's actually Cajun. But you can't deny the PR "he's one a us!" campaign was pretty lazy pandering and kind of obnoxious

Cant help that you dont know the difference between Ole Miss and LSU.Ole Miss is one of the 2 worst programs in the SEC West and the only one other than newbie A&M to never have gone to Atlanta.

Too bad you cant see the difference in LSU talent level and Ole Miss talent level which Orgeron inherited.

and O was the worst coach they've ever had by far.

Say what you want about Les but he was able to win at a perennial loser.

I'm fine with O in the short term for as long as Arranda is in place. I worry about the long term.

Godddamnit you people have sucked me back in

So defensive. Why can't people explain why they think Orgeron is a good hire that will get us to and keep us at championship level long term without acting like a kid who dropped their ice cream cone?

Why does it matter now? Was Orgeron top of my list? No, nowhere near it in fact. However, bitching about the coaching hire now does nothing but show how whiny you really are.

It's a message board relating to a college football team. We're not allowed to discuss how excited or not excited we are about a hire made by that college football team after a given period of time or what?

This is a bullshite statement you are trying to pass off as fact. You have no idea if another P5 team would have hired him after the success he had at USC and LSU.
