i made a thread about this...but look at scott against all other rb's. in straight numbers he is about 3rd on the list, but when you factor in the teams he has been going against he has got to be a favorite. moreno has what...35 yds against bama? doesn't sound like a big game player to me. not to mention scott has a whole yard higher on his average....7.5 per! he breaks 100 against florida and gets at least 1 td and i think we will start to hear his name alot

Although I love the Fightin' Tigers and love to watch Charles Scott run the ball, I'm not gonna vote for an LSU player just because he's a member of the LSU football team. I would vote for he who is most deserving. Based on what's been accomplished thus far, I feel that of all the candidates listed, Colt McCoy of Texas, at this moment, is clearly having the best season. A week from today, that may change. But as of TODAY, McCoy is head and shoulders ahead of the pack.

what am i missing where Moreno is that much more of a favorite?

Name recognition prior to this year. People outside of LSU never heard of Charles Scott prior to this year.

head and shoulders above the pack really?

he might be the third best qb in his conference.

they also have the vote for KnowSo thread stickied on the georgia boards for months

Yet ours isn't stickied here on the most popular site for LSU sports. And the vote for the band to earn the school we all support some money isn't freaking stickeid and is anchored!

WTF!

FYI, the winner of this thing will get one vote -- Nissan's:

quote:

As the presenting sponsor for the Heisman Trophy, Nissan has the privilege of casting one official vote for the winner of the Heisman Trophy. We represent the voice of the college football fan and we invite you to make your vote count.

So it's not like we're clicking to decide the Heisman race, really. I think it's great to get Scott some recognition, though.

Didn't we promote Kevin Faulk for the Heisman ten years ago, and he stayed in the running until he got stuffed at...Florida. Could a similar fate await Charles Scott in twelve days?

That thing needs to be reset every Monday. Moreno would be getting maybe his mother's vote this week.
