I've been going to LSU football games for 50 years and probably about 300 games and I've never seen either team on the field....ever, zero...nada, has never happened. There is a routine - the teams warm up, then go into the locker room for one last pep talk and whatever physical prep is needed.

The band plays the alma mater, the anthem and then marches to the tunnel and forms a tunnel of their own for the team to run out of.

A fine and great tradition and I've never had any issue with it and neither did anyone else until they were told they should....like lemmings.

Don't frick with that tradition to appease some heavy handed, back patting, virtue signaling notion of patriotism.
