SVP made a mistake with the "back-to-back weeks against Auburn and Bama" statement.
Bye week before Bama.
It's still back to back games. Plus, like he said, TCU/Boise "in their life have never seen anything like that."

That ball never waivered once it hit TT's hands. GREAT CATCH!!!
About time the media says something positive about our tigers, and we do drink hard

I'm sure this has been discussed on the rant since the FLA game but...
The comment about LSU calling the timeout before the fake field goal was DESIGNED. It was not a mistake because the time was running out. You can see Les on the ESPN broadcast on the sideline telling his coach to use a time out with something like 25 seconds left on the play clock. The design here was to get the kick team lined up to see what pressure FLA was going to bring on the snap. It was only AFTER the TO that the players got the call to go for the fake because FLA was bringing all the heat to try and block the kick. I bet if they lined up in a safe formation, they kick that ball or go for it with the offense. Miles knows Jasper can hit those kicks.

The Avia comment is probably one of the funniest things I have ever heard. I had to pull into a Walmart parking lot I was laughing so hard.

Some of the good lines:
quote:
The LSU fans - I think the game actually settles them down.
quote:
You're looking at 'em going, "3:00. You've got 5 hours to go for this game to start - blackout drunk. You got no shot. You're already done. You might as well get a trip back to Baton Rouge tonight to avoid traffic." "Nope, I'm gonna keep muscling through this."
quote:
They drink like their running back runs - hard.
quote:
You think there's no way this guy can keep doing this and there'll be an LSU Tiger fan out there just looking at you going, "I got all day - kickoff? ... and I'm going out tonight after this!
quote:
7 hours? That's just a chunk of our day drinking. That's before I go out.
quote:
If they were going to make a seventh Star Wars, they're going to have Les Miles play the dad of Darth Vader AND Luke Skywalker.

The funniest things are always the true things about real life. Man, THAT is hilarious!

True greatness! SVP and RR have by far the best radio show on ESPN. They are college football nuts, and love the passion that the SEC brings every week. Thanks for the link.
