it was that play where we stack 2 wrs to the side and throw a quick out, PP was just waiting on it frick I knew we were going to run that play when I saw them lined up
I fricking hate Crowton.

He coached 1 1/2 solid games at LSU, 07 Va Tech and the second half of the BCS title game.

He is a "Wizard" alright. He makes talent disappear.

Same pattern as the last 2 years.

We are unable to pass protect and our QBs are terrible. It showed in the spring game and nothing indicates improvement. Bunch of BS to keep their confidence from getting worse.

At some point, we need a freaking QB that can handle the position.
Miles is 5 years into this deal and we are still talking about his inability to recruit and Keep a top QB. We better hope our freshman does not go to the pros or we are f--ked.

Sounds like there's not much hope for Crowton. Maybe the AD will see the light after this season & let him be someone else's problem.

How does Crowton do it. It's like he identifies our best players, and finds a way to make them a non-factor in the offense. 3 of our best players only got the ball a grand total of 4 times in a 100 play scrimmage?

Unfortunately for receivers, they are dependent on someone else to get them the ball. We don't know how many times they were targeted, or how many times they were intended to get the ball. I am encouraged by the other thread where Shep got 10+ touches in a variety of roles. That at least means they are trying to get the ball in his hands.

They ran a vanilla offense. Just like all of last season.

We are saving our good plays for some opponent TBD.

as much as it pains me to take up for Crowton, we have no idea what the goals and plans were for the scrimmage. Don't read too much into this, they could have intentionally worked on stuff that is in the early stages of development.

This is just it, I have no idea and cannot come up with an idea of what he plans, its like Crowton refuses to simplify his offense or refuses to play to a certain players strengths. To me it makes no sense. in football you find what you do well and do it great. You do not use a shotgun approach to offense, like one series a power run team , the next series a spread and then the series after that a play action. it is counter productive. At a certain point you just cannot coach anymore and you have to tell a Jj or a Vince Young to play your game, and if the look is not there just run.

Eventhough it was a situational scrimmage they ran 100 plays. Unless they ran 30 plays from the 1 yard line. This is not good.

We have a shitload of weapons, make no mistake.

LSU is one of the most talent laden teams in the country.

Since Crowton's first year, our offensive numbers have dropped like a stone. Just like at Oregon.

Is this Crowton you speak of the same one that shattered the LSU single season scoring record?
