jlsutiger,

What's the BCS seletion order this year? I though Sugar was last choice last year...hence Hawaii. Are they not first this year?

Now explain your rational for USC in the Sugar. Are you aware of the selection process and order? Fiesta and Sugar each get a replacement selection for the team they lost and will both pick the next best Big 12 and SEC team. Fiesta then gets the next pic. Are you saying Fiesta actually passes up on USC?

Sugar will get first replacement pick (Bama)
Fiesta will get next replacement pick (UT)
Sugar gets first at large pick (USC)
Fiesta gets second at large pick (Utah)

In that scenario, Boise State and Utah would make BCS as atlarges.

I'm pretty sure the rules say only one non-BCS conference team can play in a BCS bowl in a year.

ESPN explained that this is Boise State's only shot at BCS. They actually used the scenario of OK beating TTU next weekend, but losing to Mizou.

INCORRECT. Fiesta gets first at large pick, NOT Sugar. They would select USC.

"A. The bowl played on the date nearest to the National Championship Game (for 2009, Fiesta Bowl) will pick first;
B. The bowl played on the date second-nearest to the National Championship Game (for 2009, Sugar Bowl) will pick second;
C. The bowl hosting the game that is played in the time slot immediately after the Rose Bowl game (for 2008, Sugar Bowl) will pick third."

So what are your revised bowl predictions?

Any team w/six losses SHOULD NOT be bowl eligible!!!

maxbamafan is a passive aggressive troll. Everything I have seen puts LSU in a bad light (i.e. the Peach Bowl).

Oh, and So Cal would arse rape Bama.

There is only 1 team that could keep the game respectable with UF: USC
Sorry, but they have the horses to keep it closer than 20 pts.

Bamaboy, congrats on a fine season, but you WILL lose the SECCG and LSU is setting up nicely for next year.....besides, with Hatch we would've beat you soundly.

Hatched couldn't beat Auburn. What makes you think he could have made a difference in the Bama game!

Bama is setting up for the next 3 years. Who do we lose this year? Nobody, besides JPW. And another year under Jones belt will only add to the fire.

As I stated in my original message, I believe that UF will beat Bama, closer than most of you are reporting.

Well I'm reporting UF will hand Bama a good old fashion arse whoopin'

UF 56
Bama 6

So I guess if it will be closer than I'm reporting, your team will still lose by 4 TD's.

Enjoy the #1 ranking now, because it is all about to end.

Just being realistic. I think we have a shot, but the way UF is playing, it will be tough. But we have upset them the past 2 out of 3 times we have played them. But they want hang 50 on us, like most people on this board are saying (we reserve that to the tigers to partake of). How did that taste!!!!!!

That is what the Gamecocks said before last week. They had the #3 (I think) defense in the nation.

...I wouldn't minimize losing your senior starting QB for next season....think we know a little something about that.

USC to the Sugar Bowl wont happen. USC will wind up in the Rose Bowl, agian. Oregon State wont run the table. I would love to see Utah in the Sugar against Bama. Nothing better than to watch Bama lose and to lose to a BCS Buster. Now that would make my New Year Bright!

Everybody come back now after the AU game and SECCG. I hear it now:

-UF didnt show up
-UF was overrated
-What was Meyer trying to do?
-Meyer sux in big games
-Oh, lest we forget-the refs gave Bama the game
-Harvin looked injured
-Tebow was worn out
-UF has limited offensive plays that dont involve Harvin
-UF tried to run too much
-The most widely used-the SEC just wasnt very good this year
-Atlanta is closer to Ttown than Gainseville
Am I missing any excuses?

Every scenario will be covered but one. Giving Bama credit. That wont happen even if bama wins by 4TD's. It will be what UF didnt do, not what Bama did. I remember this happening after we played UGA who we would beat AGAIN if we played tomorrow.
Thats ok. We've been the "cant do it team" all year.
