Why take a chance on getting someone hurt with no chance to win the championship? Bigger fish to fry.

I think they would've ran 3:01 easily.
But there's no point of running it, it's all about a team National Championship or bust.
Noah Williams already ran the 4x1 and 400, don't add wear and tear over a race that won't benefit the team in any way.

Because of competitive spirit and wanting to win everything these guys practice so much? Now, if someone tweaked something, I understand. Otherwise, it ain't football, so get out there and try to win it anyway. But I'm guessing someone tweaked something.

If someone got hurt and cost LSU a possible national championship, this race wouldn't be worth it. That's the reasoning, and it makes perfect sense.
