Lack of common sense?? Common sense tells me that a waterboy for the LSU football team wouldn't have a clue what Oregon has turned over to the NCAA.

I simply asked Memphisplaya how he would know what Oregon has turned over to the NCAA.

I havent seen anything yet that proves Lyle is some bad guy. Seems more of a media creation than anything else making him the posters boy for evil people in and around college football.

This was a public records request to the Oregonian. This is not what Oregon handed to the NCAA. There is no love lost between the Oregonian and the Oregon AD.

Presumedly, the Oregonian filed a public record request for whatever UO spent $25,000, and this what they received.

Unless you are accusing UO AD of not complying with the law, why would this not be what they sent the NCAA too?

Lol. Dude got paid 25 grand for what is now seen to be a bullshite 2009 package, even though his company didn't exist in 2009. He's profiting off of kids, and not even doing any work to help them. It'd be one thing if his service was legit and he was really getting kids' names out there, but he's not.

I dont know about bad guy, but there is certainly some strong circumstantial evidence that he is getting paid to push players to certain schools.

That doesn't make him evil in the scheme of things though

Anyone have any thoughts on the Facebook link indicating Lyles and Miles are buddy-buddy?

Memphis is a good guy. I think he is pretty knowledgeable and more connected to the program than most.

That said, he doesn't know everything, but I don't think he claims to.

Question for the Ducks:

What is the deal with the Oregonian, and why is your state's top newspaper trying to tank the state's top program? WTF?

The NCAA is investigating all of CF regarding recruiting services, not just Oregon. And just look at how much annually Oregon has been spending on them. Not even in the same ballpark as the Bama's of the world. There might be something there, but not one program is worried. This is old news.

LSU hired Lyles, too, but I don't see the Advocate and TimesPic trying to kill LSU football like the Oregonian did or the Columbus Dispatch did.

True. The NCAA is investigating many programs with the recruiting services as a whole. This is a major issue with them and they are just trying to find out more about the recruiting services in general. In time the NCAA will just close all those loopholes that such brings. For UO, the Oregonian News paper just hates UO kind of. The paper is dying and UO is so popular that they pounce on anything UO much just to get attention. Plus one of their senior writers hates UO much. And who knows, maybe they have a lot of OSU staff or something there. But seeing the attack from the Oregonian is nothing special. No one respects them anyways. Their paper is just a fish wrapper, nothing more.

That's what I figured. Gotta sell papers. What paper do people actually read there? Or are the newspapers dying in Oregon?

The Oregonian has a monopoly or did have one for the longest time. There is a free paper called the Portland Tribune but it has not been around all too long. Other then that, each city or area has their own little one, but the Oregonian is the big one for the state though pretty much only Portland Metro people get that one. I used to get it but it only became more adds and adds in it and they jacked up prices really high, so I left em. Plus they are only a liberal propaganda machine and everyone knows it. Pretty much only old people get it anymore. All the rest get their news online or such.

Plus Portland has a weekly free paper called the Willamette Weekly that is pretty honest and good. They are the ones that usually expose corruptions or secret stuff with the elected Oregon officials.

The Register Guard is good. That is Eugene's paper. They have a neat beat reporter that covers Ducks 24/7. You all can check his stuff out online. He knows UO inside and out. And he does not play the homer. If you read Ted Millers ESPN PAC-12 Blog, this is where Ted gets most of his info from- the Register Guard and his name is Rob Moseley. When anyone wants to find out what going on at UO they asked Rob Moseley. Register Guard- Eugene paper

Sure seems LSU was on a lot of kids that Oregon was too - Dontae Williams RB from Texas, Lache Seastrunk, Darron Thomas, Jerard Randle. LSU lost out on all but one after the fact.

maybe they are trying to report the truth?

Maybe taking down or supporting a college program shouldn't be part of the agenda of a newspaper? What is your issue with newspapers reporting facts?
