As a Bama co-worker of mine says, pulling 70-90,000 fans into a stadium has a little to do with the TV exposure. I suppose UF pulled in some big numbers for their televised spring game last year too. Can't argue with that.

After this year, their practice in the spring called the A game will moe than likely draw 100,000+ after they close in the stadium. I have come to realize that Alabama football is a religion here.
It was hilarious how they all reacted to Saban's presser the other day when he chided the fanbase for "unrealistic expectations". I tried to explain it is saban being saban, but they just dont get it.

I can't immagine that LSU will ever draw that many for the spring game. Unfortunately, I willporbably never be there. Too many other demands on my time.

Yesterday, all the sports talk news was how good it was for Anthony Grant that the great and powerful Saban thought enough of him to make time so see him on his trip to Tuscalooooser....

hmmm practice has been pretty "tight lipped" so how would his dumb arse know. But I have a feeling the football team is going to be pretty “damn strong” this year.

If I'm not mistaken,in either 2003 or 2004 Nick had LSU's Spring game on a Friday afternoon so the players could have an entire Spring Break like the 'regular students'. Deep down,I don't think Nick thinks this Spring Game attendance records stuff is really that big of a deal.

I have a feeling the reason Saban had "unrealistic expectations" press conference rant was because he's beginning to get a good look at the depth chart and realizing they aren't exactly loaded like they think they are....

I dont get why bama gets off on how many people go to their game. A spring game is like a hand job it seems real cool at first, but then quickly losses its excitement.
