I disagree with your comment about the pitching that LSU will see when they start play in the SEC. Moss (1.14 era) and Arnold (1.43 era) at Tenn. are a potent 1, 2 combo. So is Harrington (1.44 era) and MacGrandie (1.42 era) at A & M. Both of these schools have played a pretty good schedule to date. Even Auburn's pitchers have decent era's (Carlson, 0.64 and Martin, 1.52 era) though I note that Auburn has played their normal early season cupcake schedule. LSU will struggle with this pitching unless they make adjustments. More sooner than later.

What adjustments would you like to see specifically. I know every batter is very different and deals with different mechanics.

hopefully we can make adjustments that allows for our hitters to be more successful

Every team we will play in the SEC will not be easy, its a really stacked conference.

I feel really confident about Doyle and Andrews right now.

After the Auburn series we will know what has to be done. Three hitters above .300 right now. Antoine is at .300.

Like the guy above said ...tennesse, auburn, aTm, Georgia, Ole Miss All good pitchers.

When we start talking about mechanics and philosophy at the plate, lot of people are not going to like what they read.

Doyle has looked great but she also started off last year hot as a firecracker. I remember her hitting two absolute laser HR's in Cali last year and then could just never get back in that groove. She has the best hands/bat speed on the team and is capable of turning around even the hardest throwers best stuff. She is fun to watch hit.

Andrews is good. She was clearly a starter from day 1 last year and it took a while for her to break in and stick as an everyday player. Now her comfort level of knowing her role should make her even better.

I am not sure I would take the odds on anyone other than these two hitting over .300 this season. I hope I am wrong.

I think Serrett is very capable. She has shown she can hit good pitching, only concern is consistency but she definitely can do it for sure.

RF and Catcher are still kinda up in the air. I think Antoine can contribute more just needs more at bats and more experience. I definitely think we will continue to see more of Caccamise though, she just needs more reps as well

I think Kara goff has had some nice at bats this season, I do like her compact swing

Well it is an uphill climb for all but three of them and it is also true most see their batting averages fall a good bit once the SEC series games start.

I really hope Griggs does well this year and i know she can. Serrett too. I think they will all calm down a bit aa time goes by.

12 runners have tried to steal on us. All 12 have succeeded. Can they all really be that fast? McNeese has stolen 60 this year, #1 in the nation. Auburn has stolen 45 bases so far this year. I'm afraid it's gonna be like watching the ponies run around the track.

Northeast Louisiana Junior College at Monroe or Southwest Louisiana Junior College at Louisville?

This was the unheralded portion of having Jaquish. She shut down the run game. Yes, she is one of the greatest hitters in LSU history but few realized how dominant she was behind the plate until she was gone.

The inability to control the run game will be crucial in quite a few series. Hopefully we can improve.

Agree 100% on the catcher controlling the game. Spot on!

Jaquish has a great arm. The guy a few posts up says Doyle got bad knees. I forgot all about that. Arm strength, if the mechanics are already there, is hard to improve on. Dont know who to put back there.

So far the two transfers Torina brought in are a bust. Team would have been as good or better with Caccamise and Goff getting the reps and experience.
Torina wasted scholarship money which could been used for pitching after this year losing the two big studs.

Its not just them, its the entire team outside of Doyle and Andrews. This is a bigger problem then certain individuals. Its a systemic problem, not an individual one. Caccamise and goff are picking up experience. Everyone is getting rotated for the most part this year actually, probably a lot more than any year in years past actually. We will likely see CC start tomorrow, not sure if she will hit but she will probably be playing

Well LSU just signed two highly rated pitchers in the 2018 class (Wickersham and Kilponen). Sunseri is only a freshman and MB is coming back from some arm issues, of all things to bitch about this isn't one of them. We will have at least 4 pitchers next year. All who are talented and highly rated. Of course they will have to be developed and pick up experience, and they will.
