South Carolina baseball stadium...
The only part of USC's baseball stadium that looks nicer than LSU's is the outfield - except for the scoreboards - LSU's is better. However, I don't think LSU is finished with the new stadium. From what I've heard they are still trying to decide what to do with the area behind right field. LSU's grandstand is MUCH better. The only thing USC has up on LSU is chairback seats going all the way out.
The key to this is LSU is only in Phase One of building the Box. SCAR is done with theirs.

is nicer than The New Box. Sorry, their outfield is done so much nicer than ours. Our bleachers in left field are trashy compared to what USC has wrapping around the foul pole. They have seats right up to the wall...not a walkway in the front of a portable metal bleacher. I love the box...but USC outdid us by a little bit.
They can have their outfield bleachers. The stupid red iron bars around down the lines make the entire place look like a prison.
New Box >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cock stadium.

Were do all these interior decorators come from?

The new Box is an awesome facility, but not finished. Chairback seats will be installed down the first and third base lines to the outfield,

The turf is also much nicer, but then again it's apparently impossible to maintain turf at LSU.
Junior and High Schools can do it. Junior Colleges can do it. 4 year colleges and everybody in the SEC can do it, but LSU can't do it. Maybe some day. Oh well, to Dream the Impossible Dream. All we get at LSU are 1001 excuses why they can't grow it or maintain it.....

The entire stadium will be chairbacks with the exception of the outfield bleachers...the time table on this was supposed to be in 2-3 years.
There is still alot of modifications to be done.....give them time.

I saw the pics of USC's baseball stadium,
THE FREAKING LUXURI SUITES AREN'T EVEN COVERED FOR THE RAIN, WTF, I HAVE TO STAND UP FOR 5 INNINGS IN A SMALL ROOM THAT I PAID $200,000 A YEAR BECAUSE THERE'S NO OVERHANG, F-THAT.
The New Box is unreal.

If so, why'd they spend a lot of money on pretty nice bleachers? The bleachers down the lines are pretty nice and have backs. If they were just temporary why wouldn't they save money, and put cheap bleachers like the old box had.

Because right now the money isn't there for the phase 2 or 3 projects and it may not be there for 5 years, depending on the financial situation of the Athletic Dept.

It never rains in Carolina Stadium.

One feature they have that I wish we had is radar gun reading on the scoreboard. that would be nice.
NCAA rules don't allow this.
Baum Stadium is the nicest in Collegiate Baseball, the new box is in the top 5 for sure.

technically, no stadium is ever "finished". a phase might get finished and stadiums go through various phases.
baum is very very nice and so is the new carolina stadium. i think the new box architecture is better, more unique than either of these.
i agree scar has an incredible outfield setup, but again, the box has more room to grow there so the gap will get closed.
it's splitting hairs but from what i saw of the new carolina stadium, i think the new box has a slightly better look.
atmosphere at any stadium vs the box. no contest.

If your talking turf issues here is one thing to consider about Carolina. They were actually supposed to be in that stadium last year, but things fell through. Their turf was put down last year and has had a full year to grow without heavy baseball traffic on it. The turf at the Box is starting to come around. If they would not have lost that month with Gustav then I think it would be fine. They are going to get good grass. This place gets the sunlight unlike Tiger Stadium.

Carolinas Stadium cost about $1 million less than LSU stadium, with 2000 less seats.

The 360 concourse is nice, but not possible in Baton Rouge. South Carolina dug out their field. That isn't possible when building a stadium in the alluvial plain of the Mississippi River.
Nice allusion to the alluvial plain.

I'm tired of hearing this shite about no sun-light in Tiger Stadium. If the grass isn't getting enough sun we're not going to change the size of TS so it's time we look into field turf. I know the traditionalists will freak out but it's much more important to me to have a field that gives us a true advantage instead of the sand box we've had the past few years.
