I'm not a patriots fan, but they are the masters of the short and intermediate passing game. We should take note.

And how often do the patriots run 2 receiver routes? The answer is hardly ever. The patriots spread you out and use the entire field. LSU does the exact opposite.

This offense sucks for the qbs, receivers and tge tight ends. Y'all can blame the QB all day long like every year, but until we make changes to this predictable arse offense you're not going to see a different result.

Let's be honest Harris has not been accurate on short passes he has to get better this will be the difference between a good offense or the same old shite

Was I the only person that missed where the OP specifically stated Harris was the person struggling with the short and intermediate passes

BH has historically been unable to complete these passes. I'm sure the OP was just being diplomatic by not mentioning names.

No I did state in the OP that Etling struggled less with the short and intermediate passes but BH was better with longer ones.

Ok. I was simply responding to the guy that implied that both of them were struggling who also may be the one that said that what you saw wasn't what you actually saw. That was the funny one.

It's hard to understand that a qb can't complete the short pass

Just like good basketball players that can't shoot free throws.

Maybe we should scrap the wasted 15 min of big cat everyday and work in short passes

Short passes are all mental. It is about staying calm in the moment. Ether you have it or you don't. If it was not mastered in high school, find a new position or sport.

Look, here is the bottom line:

We wont look any different next year. To expect to is pretty much the definition of insanity at this point.

Now, saying that, doesnt mean we wont have a damn good year and potentially a championship season. If our defensive line is better next year, and we stay healthy, we could make a run with our same style of play

That's because we haven't practiced the short passing game for about ten years now.

Shouldn't have to practice short throws. Why can't a qb hit a 6.5 TE 3 yards off the line and let him fall forward for 2 yards?

This is a must when teams load the box. We know what happens when that does not happen.

Never too early to bitch bout Harris, Miles, Cam, or the LSU O for some.

I know it's wayyy too early and I will get a lot of hate, but if necessary, I would be Ok with Harris starting and Etling getting a few series here and there.

They need to run that play like they did in the bowl game vs.TexTech where LF ran through the line, turned right, and caught the little flare and was in the end zone in 4 seconds flat. I don't care who throws it.

We still have severe QB issues

Is the problem that we have coaches who are absolutely horrendous at evaluating QB talent, or do we have the talent, but our coaches are incapable of coaching it up to its potential?
