Do you build statues for someone you had to run off? Awkward

Bobby Bowden has one, although Miles isn't on the same level.

Considering he was fired and there a double digit million dollar buyout, I don't see him getting a statue in the near future...

Shaq has a statue..does shaq surpass those men IOP?

i wouldn't have given Shaq one before those guys simply because football is a bigger sport at LSU, however Shaq is LSU's most famous and most visible alum so it's fine.

however, it's a fricking travesty that Shaq got a statue before Maravich, regardless of whether his name is on the building or not.

Les will get his respect. He's 62, so let's not wait too long, but he will be very fondly remembered.

Was thinking about this earlier. I'd actually like to see one, he will go down as one of the most beloved coaches in LSU history. I was his biggest critic but the man was an outstanding ambassador for the program and had tremendous success. It was just time..

Paul Dietzel had an undefeated NC, Saban a one loss, Charlie Mac won more ganes.

I'm okay not having statues of any of them.

Not a statue but he will have a facility named after him or something like that in the future.

Bobby Bowden coached at FSU for 33 years and won 2 national championships. No...it isn't quite near the same level.

I know. I was simply trying to find coaches with statues that were also run off.

Thats where I usually aim. Unlike Miles I like to finish an opponent off so I can assure victory.

No. He was fired idiot! A statue of a coach who should have been fired 4 years earlier, but who has to be retained so much longer because of idiotic extensions that made it nearly impossible to make a change when it should have been? NO!
