I agree with this. However, since Jefferson has a redshirt year, it might be in his best interest to withdraw from LSU and try to find another place to play his SR year in '12. It sucks horribly for him, but he can distance himself from this mess and have a complete season somewhere instead of coming in halfway through the season here (hypothetically) as 2nd or 3rd string.

indefinite suspension. As for idiots who are glad that JL can start: we are a worse team without JJ. There is no doubt about that. If JL gets hurt we are stuck with guys who have yet to take a D1 snap. Be careful what you wish for. With that said time to get behind Lee. Geaux Tigers!

True. Or he could transfer to an FCS school and probably play right away, at least as a backup.

While I agree with you, Les can't make his decision based on this. Of course we are a worse team--at the very least depth-wise--without JJ. But that just can't be a factor for punishments.

Was the kid that got kicked off in 09 a bad kid who got into a lot of trouble? If not, how do you kick him off for THE SAME EXACT CHARGE, but not JJ and Johns?

There are probably a dozen IAA teams that would take him as their starter right this very second, just like with Perriloux. But at this point this is all just wild speculation.

You boys in a tight spot with Jefferson and Shepherd both gone! Lee is a fine QB and definitely helped be us last year. Team is probably better off.

Les will do no more than indefinite suspension regardless. Back w/ team in some capacity after 5 or 6 games
