Lets see how gassed Bama look against Auburn today. If your end of season theory is correct then the game should be closer than predicted. I hope so. War Damn Eagle!
It should be a blowout, but I'm thinking it might be a damn close game. Depends on Auburn's mindset. If they just want to get this year over with, Bama will destroy them. But if Chizik can inspire them with a "this is my last game with you all, and you can ruin Alabama's dreams" type speech, it might be like LSU-Ole Miss.

Look at the LSU-Arkansas game from 1999. Arky going to the Cotton, LSU 2-9 with seniors used to going to bowls most of their careers, and the coach just got fired for the disaster. We stomped the Piggies. Auburn won't stomp the Tide, but they may just hang in there.

Don't discount that CLM works the dogshite out of em, too. He doesn't know how to pull the reins in. never has, he's got this we're going to outwork everybody mentality.

Bama will win easily. Bama doesnt piss around with shitty AU teams. Something like 35-7.

I have no idea. Does Les actually work the team harder than other coaches during the year?

Losing to Bama was hugely deflating. Then to play 3 nobodies that want nothing more than to beat a top 10 team?

I don't know how Miles kept this team motivated the last 3 weeks. It should be a case study at Harvard business school.

. But this is the case every year with our schedule, it's not an unknown.

So do we just build this in as another excuse year over year like injuries, etc as a reason for looking bad down the stretch? We even looked bad down the stretch last year going undefeated.

We had better depth last year and better athletes overall. Simon for example was mainly a backup while now he is the best CB we have. It's not an excuse. We aren't as good as last year.

That's probable, but not definite. You're giving the Tide a little too much credit.

And really, this IS Chizik's last game. Everybody knows that, it would be beyond shocking for him to be retained. It comes down to whether the team will play their best for him against their hated rival, or if they just want to go home for the holidays.

I think Auburn has 1 bullet left to fire. I hope they do; it may not be enough to help us.

The problem w bama/auburn game is that EVERY game where we wanted a certain team to win, that team lost.

I see no reason that changes today. Would be upset of the year even tho I don't think bama is that good. Plus it's at bama.

Tigers just looked mentally worn down during yesterdays game. Knowing that they would have a better chance of winning the powerball then AU does of upsetting bama didn't help.

I guess the team was tired on 9/22, too.

I don't understand how 18-23 yo super athletes are so "tired" from a game 3 weeks ago , when they aren't on other teams. Please enlighten me.
