I just don't see how people can say he's a douchebag and hope he breaks his legs considering how nice of a guy he seems to be. We steal his phone, threaten to rape and kill his mom, and he basically says that we took it too far, but we're passionate about our team. He does missionary work cutting the skin off of young foreign boy's penises. Tebow is good people.

Thanks guys (and girls)! Nice to feel welcome. Austin's a lot of fun... but I'm surrounded by Texas fans and the occasinal Aggie. And if that wasn't bad enough, God saw fit to make sure there was a die hard TROJAN FAN!!! around the corner. I do meet the occasional Tiger fan though.
You have no idea how much the Trojan fan bugs me. I'd rather it be a Bama or Ole Miss fan. At least then we could agree on what the best conference is.

Tebow is a crazy good athelete. Don't forget he gave props to LSU's team last year, going so far as to call Hester a "war daddy". He is not a bad kid, he's just in the wrong uniform!

Operative, astute and very salient phrase "One day...you will become a man".
Threads like these make me believe there are about 4 kinds of posters on The Rant:
1)just-barely-teens who like to spew
2)people who, while out of their teens in physical age never grew out of being #1(above) mentally
3) People who pretend to be #1 or #2 to get people like DaphneTigah (and I guess me ) to respond
4) People like DaphneTigah (and I guess me) who respond because we can't actually believe anyone would wish pain, hurt and broken bones on any football player or other athlete.

The SEC is measured by their competition...so it does no good to run down the competition if that is the measuring stick of LSU!
Enough of the emotion!
Tebow was the first sophomore to win the Heisman and LSU beat his team...
That speaks well for Tebow and LSU...
Yeah there is a huge rivalry and I still remember the loss to UF two years ago when Tebow and Co. beat LSU.
I can't stand the gator chomp and UF, but I respect them...
And, if LSU loses to UF this year and Tebow sucks, what does that say about LSU.
Still in all, I hope some LSU defensive player cleans Tebow's clock...and if that does happen, Tebow will still be the best athelete & QB on the field.
Respect and acknoledging how oustanding your competition is has nothing to do with loving them or penis envy...it all about fact and reality.

I've been reading through the posts here and would like to throw in my defense for a solid young man (Tebow). And I see no need to want his or anyone else's harm or anything else impeding participation in the game. I'd just like to see LSU beat the best the Gators have to offer, not something less. In this case, it shows LSU is the better team.
If you really want to see acrofeces, you should see some of the some of the anti-Tebow and UF posts around here (Orlando) from the FSU fans (Miami comes close). You LSU rantards are light in comparison.

why can you people not understand this. not liking him is because he is a huge rival for lsu. Nobody really wishes him physical harm he is a great person but when he puts on the florida uniform to me he is then considered a douche who i hope gets demolished by our d-line. Is that so wrong. I don't see anyone defending jpw when the same things are said about him its just rivalries. Get over it. Since when is it wrong to talk smack about an opponent because he is a good guy.

this defense of tebow really is amazing to me. sure, he seems like a good christian kid who travels to parts of the world to help relieve their foreskin abundance. but, he does wear orange and blue on saturdays, makes out with his teammates/car thiefs, wears jorts and is all in all way too easy not to make fun of. I think some of you people need to get your panties untwisted and realize that its natural to talk a little smack about players on teams we have rivalries with.

There is a salamander (Ambystoma talpoideum) called the Tadpole Salmander that has been known to reproduce in the larval form. This is called "neoteny". The term may be appropriate here and in certain other parts of college campuses, sports programs, and elsewhere. The new subspecies that has emerged recently should be called rantardi, but the genus is still under consideration. Perhaps Panthera rantardi talpoideum.
