And we lost to Tennessee by 4 touchdowns. It will all hold weight, but Oregon would have a very strong, as would we.

By that same logic, an LSU win in the SECCG against UGA would block UGA from getting in.
That isn't going to happen. Two 1-loss non-conference champs aren't getting in over the the 2-loss champ. The 2-loss champ would get in and then the tie breaker would be between the 1-loss non-champs and UGA would win that.
It sucks for Tenn, but there is no way LSU would be left out in favor of Tenn or UGA if they run the table and can put up a Bama win and UGA win in the last month of the season.

If we beat UGA, the No.1 team in the nation, after beating No. 7 and No. 6 then we’re in. How do you keep an SEC conference champion who just beat the No.1 team in the nation out of the playoff?

The turnaround, the story, and the degree of improvement after beating the undisputed top dog in Atlanta, would be undeniable. If they left us out everyone would say that the best team in the country isn’t even in it.
