To me, this is the worst possible timing for Butch's firing. Tennessee won't be playing like Tennessee this week, especially in front of their home crowd.

The fear for this game is thoroughly confusing.

I disagree. It's not about them, at all. It is all about Orgeron, et al, being able to get a consistently high level of play from our team. That's what we should expect to see and on both sides of the ball: high levels of execution and effort. That is where we should be, at this point. If our coaches manage to get that from our team, then we absolutely dismantle an overmatched, dysfunctional Vol team. No question. We should concern ourselves strictly with our expectations for the Tigers, our coaches, players and their apparent appetite and quality.

That's very unlikely. Les Miles is no longer pacing the sidelines
LSU should handle the Vols, but Miles winning 4/5 vs UTk makes this statement pretty damn stupid.

Why are we supposed to throw a ticker tape parade for being 7-3? I'll throw Eddie O a bone for stepping back and letting his coaches coach to avoid total collapse but let's not pretend like this has been some great season.

I am not jumping for joy myself.... but some fans are acting like this season has been a failure... with all the freshman that have played and getting his team to respond after the Troy loss was a very fine coaching job imo. There is no reason we should not finish 9-3 and get a pretty decent bowl..... not to bad with the usual mediocre QB play....

GTFO with this. UT is awful. If they stay with 21 points at the end it's a disaster

I'm sure that's what you said about going 8-4 in 2014, 10-2 in 2010, 9-4 in 2009 and 8-3 in 2015 right?

Unless Brady's fat arse is going to suit up and play the line on both sides of the ball, he won't be effective.

Well 10-3 is better than all of those seasons except one and you make it sound like we start 22 seniors....

We were actually 9-3 in the regular season in 2009 and would have been again in 2015 if not for McNeese being cancelled, so... All I ask is that you hold O to the same standards to which you VIGOROUSLY held Les. Can we at least agree there is no excuse for us to drop another 3 losses next year?

I don't know where all this overconfidence is coming from.

This LSU team is not like past ones where we're coming in highly ranked. We've had a few shitty games ourselves, and that includes some of the wins.

Tennessee played Florida about as well as we did. They were dying under Jones, now they get a fresh start.

I think we win, but we need to come out early and not let them get any hopes up. The longer it's competitive, the worse it is for us.
