I'm a native Louisianana as well. I agree with your observation. I went to the Texas vs Missouri game this year in Austin, first Texas game ever. I tailgated with Texas fans and I was shocked that nothing was ever said to the Missouri fans as they walked by our site. There was zero taunting, zero chants, no friendly words about the up coming game, nothing. When I was going up the esculators there were two missouri fans in front of me. One of the security guards, Texas fan, told them they would lose. Both Missouri fans just laughed. I said, "yall must have been hearing this all day today". They both said "nope". That was the first time any Texas fans said anything to them and they have been tailgating before the game. I was thinking "am I at a college football game b/c this doesn't feel right."

I agree. There should be chants, minor trash talking, etc. It's not a college football game without it. There is a line, though, obviously.

"I've never commented on a fan behavior thread, but honestly, has any team ever complained more than Oklahoma did in 2003? It's been 5 years and we're still hearing about it. I didn't see any incidents and I was in the FQ that whole weekend. Maybe being Tiger baited seems pretty harsh to them for some reason."

Totally agree. I was there with my dad. The OU fans were treated well and I noticed no ill-will towards them or poor behavior from our fans.
I can however, unequivocally, say that they have the most obnoxious fans I have ever met. They are terrible fans and worse losers. You would think that a team with their fantastic history would be more gracious in victory or defeat. Think again--it aint so.
