Even then I think LSU had the better overall team with one exception- Flau’jae. As much as I love her she was a huge choke artist in the big game. SC was in her head throughout her career- not in everyone else’s. You put MK at the line at game’s end and LSU wins. MK has consistently hit the big pressure shot- not Flaujae, who always wilted under pressure at the end of games.

Take away all the hype and rap and flash and swag and personality- all of which we love about Flaujae- and you have a girl who’s not very confident at the most critical moments of the biggest games against the toughest competition. We always referred to these as front runners. But to be known as a champion- to beat the championship-level opponents under the greatest pressure- you have to be able to come through with the game on the line.

Flaujae was a great player who was spectacular to watch- but she didn’t have “it”- the clutch gene when LSU needed it most. MK has it. Fulwiley has it. Even Jada Richard had it. But Flaujae tended to disappear with the game on the line. Maybe she’ll perform differently in the pros. I’m excited about this next team being MK’s team and Lay’s team.

Flaujae consistently got all the hype for LSU before the big games, but I think that was more based on her larger-than-life persona than her actual production in big games. MK and Lay will deservedly get their pub this next year.

You're clearly not watching the games, and definitely didn't watch this season's game. If not for Flau'je the game is not close in the second half. But, carry on..................................
Regardless of who we pick up in the portal, we're going to have a VERY tough time beating THAT South Carolina team next season................ :banghead:

Welp, she's Tiger Bait now. Can't wait to see Jada Williams serve her all game long in the PMAC!

:geauxtigers:
.....................and I would say that you are correct. Just as when they announce attendance in other sports, the same truth holds.
I like her game. If we can get this version of her on a consistent basis as a junior and senior, she can DEFINITELY help us!

Average attendance is typically calculated using the total tickets sold or distributed, not the actual number of people who passed through the turnstiles. This figure includes season tickets, group tickets, and complimentary tickets, regardless of whether the holder attended.

If the Valkyries truly averaged 18,000 people in the arena, then kudos to them.

But I'd bet every dollar I have that this number is inflated. Just like any metric, it depends on the definition and how it's calculated.

Y'all are just sounding stupid now.

Of course the number is inflated.......................................just like EVERY OTHER PROFESSIONAL AND COLLEGE SPORT.

It just pains some of y'all that there are people who really do enjoy women's basketball, despite your psychological discomfort with it. Some of you need some professional counseling.

No one watches WNBA, hoss

Whether "no one watches WNBA" is irrelevant now. The CBA is done. The players will be making multimillion dollar contracts. Who cares about who's watching now? The players got what they wanted.

I can’t imagine what kind of attendance Golden State gets for a WNBA game

Welp, here's your answer. They average over 18,000 per game.

Valkyries Attendance.......

If not for the NBA's heavy subsidies, the WNBA wouldn't exist.

That's clearly not true, and completely irrelevant.

I bet all those owners who have to start paying million dollar salaries care!

Welcome to the Million Dollar Era

For those interested, you can watch Reynolds and McGill here..........

"Bitches"...................? Yea, you just gave yourself away. Come out of your momma's basement. There's a woman out here who will love you. You don't have to hate all of them.
WTF IS GOING ON?!!!!

Jada had a great year and was set up to be the pg here for three seasons. I don't get it! :dunno:

I think what this MAY confirm is that we ARE actually bringing in Liv McGill or Kyomi McMiller. That's the only way this makes sense. Otherwise, why would she leave?!! :banghead:

I'm really disappointed with this one.
I'm just laughing at all the INCELS in this thread.

The WNBA is here to stay, regardless of what some of these morons think.

:geauxtigers:

And GEAUX Angel!
Oops! I meant Jordan Lee was from California.
I wouldn't touch McMiller with a ten foot pole. I think she could be a locker room killer. Crump would be GREAT, but I have a feeling she's going back to California. Trigger would give us some size, although not much physicality. Edwards would be a MAJOR coup if we could add her. I'm REALLY hoping we can snatch her up.

If you’re truly running a business how can you justify increasing salaries when you lose money every year!

Good question. Go talk to all the WNBA owners who just agreed to begin paying the players million dollar salaries.

Not me. They traded in Kellie Harper, who in 5 years averaged 21 wins, finished top-4 in the SEC each year and went to 2 Sweet 16's, for a mid-major coach with a gimmicky style of play that won't work in the SEC. They got greedy thinking because they are Tennessee that they are above "settling" for Sweet 16's.

They are about to be the power conference version of the Lady Techsters. All they have now is a box full of 20+ year old trophies that nobody on the outside even cares about any more.

Yep, pretty much.

You can cherry pick her actually making a few layups but she misses way more. Do you not watch clips of her missing three or 4 shots in one possession

Thank you for confirming what we already knew. All you watch are "clips".

She's "lazy"...........? Now I KNOW you don't actually watch her play.

Caitlin Clark...............................what does she have to do with this discussion? Now I see exactly who you are.....................one of those weird Clark fanboys.

I would absolutely bet that Atlanta's winning percentage will go up. No doubt about that. This is why ATL made the trade in the first place.
quote:

Are you going to ignore that even 46% is a very low shooting percentage for a player that only shoots layups?????She trademarked mebound for a reason most of her rebounds are her own missed shots. I'm betting Atlantas winning percentage takes a significant hit this year!

You sound stupid.

Do you even watch the games? She started off the first two weeks of the season shooting around 35%, and then proceeded to shoot OVER 50% the rest of the way. What is it about that you don't understand? Additionally, she is NOT REBOUNDING HER OWN MISSED SHOTS. That myth has been shot down NUMEROUS times. Again, how many of her games have you actually watched? Clearly not much.

Here's a little more........

This, you committed to a school with all these talented guards. It would take a couple years before starting but her dad wants her to be the priority of the program we can’t promise that. It is what it is.

Lots of great guards are out there in the portal but we move.

After having listened to her dad in the recording, I totally agree with you here! WHY DID YOU COME HERE when you KNEW there were a number of All SEC and All American players here who play YOUR position? You knew that you were gonna have to work to become a starter in this rotation. How are they not "prioritizing" her? This is some BS!!!
