I’ll feed into my completely random theory of Saban for President of Football operations…
Verge said no shot for HC, but he did go into some detail on the inner workings of the AD. He mentioned as AD you need to have a large overview of each and every sport. They all operate as their own small companies. However, the football operations operate as a major corporation. This leads me to believe that they want someone in place to strictly run the Football Business if you will. Similar to breaking the President’s office into campus chancellor and President.
With rev share and NIL, football is operating more and more like the NFL. Maybe LSU is going to be the innovator here and have a single President to oversee the football operations. Insert Saban.
I’ll bookmark in case my complete guess works out.
