Has anyone considered the idea that maybe Philly’s role is to put out the smokescreen? Feed him accurate info so he can break it on the biggest LSU message board, gain credibility, then feed him false info to provide the smokescreen.

Exactly. What I meant about the idea he is mulling this over is that he didn’t know Kelly was going to be fired and the LSU job (of all jobs) would be open to even make this a potential option.
He’s a legendary competitor that no doubt would look at this as a unique challenge and complement to his legacy. The only other situation that would compel him back to coaching besides LSU is if DeBoer was fired (obviously not going to happen) and he was brought back to right the ship at Bama similar to Bob Stoops and Barry Alvarez.

Dirty little secret: LSU only has the money lined up for the first two years of Kelly's buyout. Woodward fired him anyway and ultimately that's why he was fired. Podunk Landry is right, taxpayers are really on the hook for the remainder unless a miracle happens with Coach NoName in the next two years.
