Could be worse. I was watching ULL game today. Pitcher hit the batter with the ball and the ump called the batter out.

I doubt that it will help you feel any better. But I watched the game and I agree with your comments. The umpire was horrible and we had a few very bad calls in the game. Thankfully we won. But nothing was given to us, it was all earned and then some.

Ump was horrible. For BOTH sides.
One batter Nola threw a 4 strikes and the last pitch (the only ball) awarded the batter first base on balls. One strike pitch got called a ball and the batter even swung at it and it still ended up being a ball not a strike. HORRIBLE.

Yes they were terrible! Jim and Charlie knew it, the ESPN 3 announcers knew it, the crowd knew it, the players knew it and Mainieri knew it. But that is just another part of the game.
