Whether you like him or not, this is exactly my view on The Athletic, which I’ve had since 2022.

Because 2 reporters and at least one editor let that pile of crap go thru without making one simple phone call that could have answered the question and that could have prevented all of this, from Friday to Monday. You want to report and btw something else we told you, there were more than a dozen schools that got these notices from the CSC, why did they pick LSU, it was the biggest brand…… it was gonna get the most headlines, it was gonna get the most clicks. And that’s the unfortunate part, because that’s not the job.”

People don’t like him out of jealousy. The reality is he could actually get out of our market with with his talent in his regime. But he’s right they picked the brand. And that was never gonna go anywhere

I think their national guys are like most national guys - they got to be national guys buy getting themselves noticed, not necessarily pure competence. ANd many cut corners to do that - and this is an example.
Their guys who cover local beats are mostly good though. As a Cub fan I consider their guys who cover the Cubs to be the best on the Cub beat and there are literally dozens of folks covering the Cubs.

They need to be banned from LSU-This type of targeted attack is unacceptable and LSU should bring suit against them for trying to destroy our Brand.
