Difference was CLM then also lost to Arky and Ole Miss the following weeks.

That only happened once in the past eight seasons, but what do facts matter when we're talking football

I don't think he was implying we lost to both Arkansas and Ole Miss in the same season multiple times, but it's not dishonest to say Les laid some duds to both of those teams. And why stop at eight seasons? Les got beat by both Arky and OM following good games against Alabama in 2008 and 2015.

We've pummelled this deceased Equus ferus caballus quite enough already.

Looking ahead now and like what I see. Screw ancient history.

Well I was addressing his point about losing to teams we shouldn't after playing Bama well. We were just a bad team in 2008. I wouldn't consider anything that year as laying an egg. We were fortunate to win as many as we did.

And Saban had the same issues against Arkansas and Ole Miss. That is just the nature of the series against those two.

Ok should have stated either or both, but tell me what CLM's record in West was last 4 years

You should think about some medication and therapy or maybe try some kind of hobby. I hate to hear that football is ruining your life.

5-1
4-2
3-3
3-3

Second best West record over that span. Did you really rotf for that?

I assume O will do much much better since that is such a comical record?

What would be acceptable for your standards? Just like to know what everyone expects going in

Record in the West: 3-3 is not acceptable. 4-2 is palatable, but not great. 5-1 and 6-0 is where I want the team to be. I think 3-3 puts O on the hot seat immediately.

Agreed on all except I would say 3-3 isn't hot seat, it's a deal breaker.

The West is very down right now. Even assuming a loss to Bama, I can't find another 2 West losses that would be acceptable for a HC that was billed as a continuity hire to win now.

And even 4-2 with additional losses to UF or UT would be hot seat material for sure.

There just aren't enough good teams or our schedule to justify an 8-4 year imo. That is exactly the type of seasons that got Miles fired, and O doesn't have near the capital built up that Miles did.

9-3 very hot seat
8-4 time to move on to a proven winner at HC

3-3 in the first year won't get O fired, but a repeat in year two will. IMHO

What about 3-3 in the West with an East loss to UF or UT thrown in?

He may survive the season, but shouldn't. The hard truth is no LSU coach will be fired after one season, unless some major recruiting violation or scandal. In all likelihood, O will have 3 seasons to prove himself. I'm hoping his seat never warms and we see no more than 2 losses-- ever, with many 0-1 loss seasons!

Yep! Miles had LSU at the pinnacle of College football. Not just to win another National Championship. LSU was on the verge of being labeled the Greatest team of all time and likely would have become a dynasty with NC's in 2012, 2013. Recruiting would have blown up and we likely flip the script on Saban and Bama. The fall from the top and at the hands of our most hated rival, caused many fans to turn on Miles. It may not have been the right reaction or even justified, but Miles brought this ire on himself!

But the only reason LSU was "fun" again for so many was because they hated Miles for years and finally got their wish.

Yep...we wished to see a balanced offensive attack...we wished to see a team that was having fun..we wished to have a coach that spoke plain and answered questions without a bunch of jibberish....so yeah....we got our wish granted!

I dont just blame Miles. I blame FKING for not having the balls to fire Miles after 2015. We wouldve had a legit coaching search.
