While there are many significant differences, this is one of the glaring differences between Mainieri's Teams and Jay's teams. I really enjoy watching their approaches at the plate.

Jay's teams are always near the top in OBP

Jay has had 1 team dip below .400
in OB% for a full season and they were at .397
By comparison, PM has 2 teams over .400 in OB%
Jay’s teams have also all been over .500 in Slugging too
in OB% for a full season and they were at .397

I actually got that from one of the former Astros outfielders Jake Marisnick. That’s what they used to call him.
