This thread should shortly deteriorate into a bitter squabble between genteel but dissipated old blue hairs and energetic but crass whippersnappers. Aristocracy versus the rabble, part four hundred and seven.
(Real answer: Most fans I know stand during big moments or key defensive drives, and sit during the remainder of the games.)

Just make sure your seats are not located to low in the bowl or you'll be forced to stand to see the action.

I don't sit down during the games at home when I'm watching on TV.
I will, however, sit for most of the game when I'm in a section of people doing so.
I will stand for the last few minutes of each half and during exciting moments.
If the game is close in the 4th, I'll probably be standing then too.

Stand, of course. That's why they call them "the stands." Duh.
But seriously, have a little consideration of the people around you. If everyone's standing, it's OK. If you're standing in front of someone who asks you to sit, sit.

Unless the person in front of you is standing.

I don't even sit down at my house during the game. It's 3 hours out of 168 during the week. It won't kill you to stand and scream.
It won't kill you to mind your own damn business about how anyone other than yourself chooses to enjoy an LSU football game.

Agreed, but I'll add that unless someone is absolutely being a dick, ask nicely when you ask them to sit. One of the rudest people I have encountered at a football game was a fellow LSU fan at the WV game a couple of years ago. Homes almost got his arse kicked by this internet badass.
