Very Nice, I challenge you........

We all know how big the new HD screen will be in the North EndZone. (Roughly 5 times bigger than the one there now, correct?)

Can you Photoshop it in from a regular fan's angle (or from ground) so we all can get a feel for it.

Nice job, but the addition hopefully will cover up that terrible north endzone addition from way back. It looks cheap and I never understood why they did not do it exactly like the south endzone?

The North endzone was enclosed before the south.

You could solve the problems of students leaving early very easily, make them reswipe their cards if they leave the game early. Don't stay the whole game, don't get the priority points.

Tiger Stadium - will it get bigger?
i heard we have problems keeping fans there till half, so it will look even worse on tv now.

Oh yeah, that's why we only had NINETY THREE THOUSAND AND THIRTY NINE butts in Tiger Stadium till the last play of OT against Alabama.
Are you stupid ????????????

Even if we don't have SRO crowds for Arkansas State, North Texas, USL, etc. - these games won't be on regional or national TV like:
LSU vs: Alabama, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, etc.

I doubt that would have worked Saturday.

Well The Big house is halfway underground and is much more able to expand more than Tiger Stadium, plus I imagine they will just keep expanding to always claim to be the biggest.

I believe that plans are in the works to expand Tennessee's Neyland Stadium. I'm not sure how many seats they are proposing to add. Texas' stadium now seats 95,000+ and the master plan calls for enclosure of the south endzone at some point. This would bring the seating capacity to approximately 114,000.

That is one awesomely cool picture. Do you know approximately when it was taken? It has to be at least as old as the 40's since I believe the south endzone was added in the early 50's.

Does anyone know if there are any long term plans to put upper-decks on each endzone?

Dammit- our weekly Tiger Stadium expansion thread has THIS many pages to it??? For the one millionth time- there is NO reason to expand that stadium right now, and just because we are LSU and we all wear our purple and gold glasses all the time does NOT mean that we have to have the largest stadium in college football relative to capacity.

In fact, maybe they should just make about 50,000 of the existing seats retractable- that way, when there is a mass exodus at halftime by 1/2 of our fanbase they could just make those seats go away and the stadium will still look full.

Expanding TS right now would be a waste of $$$ IMO when there are not enough ASSES in the seats at non-conference games for the entire game to begin with.

Possibly those "plans" might be burned after this season and UThug continues to be told "nope" by every big-name coach in America

Traffic? Ok, we'll all be leaving the game by the end of the 1st qtr to beat the traffic.

they will also build a 5 lane highway leaving TS and across the river to the port allen side to accommodate the increased traffic.

Enclosing the south endzone for Texas isn't going to happen anytime soon. I will say not in the next ten years for sure.

Texas's stadium capacity now is 94,000 which doesn't count temporary seating in the north end zone. It's 98,000 right now with these temporary seating. Texas is currently spending $29 million to replace the temporary seating into permanent seating. So when they are done with this the stadium will look exactly the same as it does right now.

A friend told me that the date on the original expansion plan was sometime around 2015, but I have a feeling that it will be pushed backa few years.

Yep...except that the new seating will be built in the south endzone. The north end is the one that was renovated this year. I've seen renderings of what it will look like when all is said and done and it will be huge.
