That would have been really weird considering he is a PhD student.

what chain link fence is being talked about? i was thinking they meant the one around the outside on the west.
as for the one around the field, due to the fact there are field level seats don't want to see that one replaced.
Both fences should go.
I get what you are saying about the lower level seats...but are they actually looking through the chain link fence?

LSU should really get rid of the field-level sideline seats. You absolutely cannot see anything on the field from those seats. It's embarrassing that the university even allows those to be sold.

I don't dispute what you say. But many (if not most) LSU buildings have basement-level offices and classrooms, and there is also a steam tunnel network below most of campus. Tiger Stadium supposedly has a great drainage system installed these days. Can't they pare down the field 3 or 4 feet just to help the view of the field for fans sitting on lower level seating? It bothers me that we brag about our stadium, but truth be told there at least a few (if not more) thousand seats with horrendous views of the field--everything about our stadium should be the very best possible.

But all those are on the "high" part of campus...the Stadium is in the lowlands, DOWN Victory Hill.

The basements are not exclusive to the higher-elevated parts of campus. The PMAC, right next to Tiger Stadium, has an enormous basement, large enough for entire practice courts, and the like. The TAF offices in that building are down a set of steps, etc. The swimming pool side of the Huey Long Fieldhouse is at the bottom of the hill and also has below-ground sections under it.

I wish we could not fill up the stadium we have
I can't find a descent ticket for under $300.00.

Lose your history - lose your identity
Leave it the way it's always traditionally been. You can feel history anytime your there.
Isn't anything sacred any more?

It can't come soon enough. I want those chain link fences gone.

Why ? The seats are RARELY full now except for the very biggest games.
Am I the only one on the waiting list for season tickets?? I bet they could fill that stadium up routinely if they went to 110,000... of course there would be smaller games that would not fill, but it seem to me that it would fill enough to justify the spending.
Correct. If we added a SEZ Upper Deck with 10,000 seats to bring capacity to 103,000 people; I can guarantee you how many people will be in the stands for big SEC games: 103,500!
Who cares if only 95-98,000 show up for Arkansas State, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, etc.
Those games wouldn't be on national or even regional TV anyway !!

my biggest pet peeve about Tiger Stadium is the endzones. We need to go back to the big block "L S U" that we had under Saban.
The Geaux Font in the end zone looks homeauxsexual.

something solid might hinder the view slightly...with the big concern it would be higher.

i like the end zone field level seats. there is a tradeoff depending on what end of the field they are at of course, but its pretty nice when you are right there in the action.
can't speak for the true 'sideline' seats, as i only sat in those one time for the ND game in 1984.

I like the stadium as is. General repairs are fine but that stadium is a landmark and should be left as it is.

the guy that posted this needs to watch a little less Dr. 90210 and a little more ESPN.
