well, he has some experience coaching o-line and TEs, so maybe he could teach the o-line something that Stud can't as well.

Hopefully he has good connections with South Florida recruits...

His bio says he was the Director of High School Relations. I like that fact because he was meeting a lot of coaches in the state. Then he was focused on recruiting Dade Co. and Miami quite heavily. Youthful energy in recruiting is only as good as what school he represents, and his personalty. High character is a must. The comments about his experience in playing on the OL, and coaching TE, is like getting 1 1/2 coaches. If Les likes him, I want him. Recruiting well in that area alone is worth it, IMHO.

who has actually played the position.

why do you always get so hung up on this? Josh Henson was an OL in college, he turned out ok. Muschamp was a DB, but he had some damn good LBs here.

Could you name one that was drafted by the NFL?

No. He was a good player under DiNardo.

It's a shame DiNardo couldn't keep us from losing 8 in a row in 1999 and having the administration decide that we'd be better off without him in 2000.

You must have blown some instrument in the band because you sure blow now. Quit posting about things that you know nothing about. What is it with you? Are you a girly man who is mad because all you got to do was blow in the band? Quit posting negative things about maybe someone who can bring energy to a very lethargic group. Tight ends coach is hands on in more than just catching the ball and running routes. When was the last time that LSU had a tight end that could block and help the running game.

Agree 100%. You won't get an offensive coordinator to take this job. Getting someone from a lower tier school from FL is a great get.

If you dont count Muschamp as the position coach in 2001 with he and Faulk and him being the DC in 2002 with James being drafted in 4th round of 2003.

We already have Florida ties with BG. I'd rather someone with Texas ties and a QB coach. cough Major Applewhite cough

When Chris Garrett tried to get an offer from Bama Applewhite told him he wasn't SEC QB material. I bet Garrett just would love to take instructions from Applewhite.
