No USC colors or clothing!!!
Well, he is a UCLA fan so that would be the last thing he would wear. However, any funny anti-USC clothing would be a plus.

Even if you're no pulling for LSU, act like it. You'll have a much better experience.

DO take the Hwy 30 exit off I-10, it'll be the second Gonzalez exit as noted above. It will lead you straight to campus, no turns, just straight driving. When you get close as you can, U-turn facing back to where you came to make it easier to get out of town. Just follow the yellow brick road as the saying goes & you'll run into 100,000 serious partiers all over campus. Catching the band is a must, just head over to Mike's cage & someone there can give you a time frame. Beyond that, eat, drink & watch the Tigers take care of the league's biggest titty babies.

So should we plan on free parking right on the street instead of in a particular lot? Worry not, Tiger fans, this gutty little Bruin will be cheering for the home team on Saturday.

Parking is free on most of the campus. If you get there early enough you will be able to park pretty close. They will close campus off at a certain distance near the stadium. You won't be able to get past that point without a pass, but like I said there is plenty of free parking within walking distance.
When I say "early" I mean before noon. After noon...well, I would say you are going to walk a mile or more. Don't worry. Tailgating will stretch from the stadium to cover almost the entire campus.
Seriously, wear you Bruin powder blue. You'll be treated better than UGA and LSU fans.

Thanks for the info. What's it like near campus after the game? I'm assuming lots of people stick around. Any recommendations if we wanted to find a place to get some dinner and watch the Alabama/Tenn game?

Damn, I wish it was a night game-----when the sun goes down it gets crazy! Have fun.

I do not get the anti-bruin tone of some of the posts. Besides the pac-10 sucks thing, I would not mind seeing a massive bruin population on campus. We have to be 1-2 in terms of hating USC.

I just might wear my UCLA jersey as I don't think too many people take our mediocre football program too seriously. Trust me, you don't hate USC anywheren near as much as we do. I'm hoping my buddy wears his USC jersey and I'll figure out the tiger bait taunt and join y'all every time you unload on him.

You sound like you have the right attitude. Don't take anything to heart. Sure people will give you a hard time at first but if you're a good sport they will invite you in for food/beer. Don't believe all of the horror stories you hear. If you look for trouble ANYWHERE in the SEC you can find it. Let people know it's your 1st time and they will go out of their way to show you a good time.

Feel free to wear your Bruins gear, most people will appreciate that you chose to come check out Tiger Stadium and will just say, "y'all make sure an beat USC ok"

Since it's a day game, there will be plenty of people just hangin out after....there will be tailgates with flat screens to watch UTenn beat Bama.

This is true. You won't miss the UT/Alabama game. The only trouble is going to be finding the tailgate with the biggest TV.

Just know that this is Tiger Stadium and not any California stadium so make sure you have tickets.

Walk-On's, The Chimes, Mike Anderson's, Ninfa's,
Brunet's off of Florida Blvd. (great seafood),
tailgates with TV's.

I'm looking forward to my first visit to Tiger Stadium Saturday. Now that kickoff time has been determined, our group is going to try to arrive around 8am. Any advice on traffic, parking, etc? We will be coming from New Orleans.
thx
Go to the Pentagon and watch the Drum Corps warm up and put on a show.
Before that, got to Fred's for a GameDay Steak($15) - they are the real deal, off the grill, with mushrooms, corn and FRESH FRENCH BREAD. You can tell them to put however much cash you want to take to the game for concessions etc. on your tab - best ATM in the entire world. All the games on big screens/projectors. They start serving at around 8am. No youngsters there, just people who know.

Make sure you remember where you parked. LSU is a big place to walk around looking for your car.

Too bad you didn't choose a night game, but there's really no way to know ahead of time if CBS is going to pick it up for the 2:30 slot. It's just not the same when it's a day game, so I would cancel and come back another time.
