I say let the following go:
1) Mallory - its obvious that our DB development was more greatly reliant on Pelini's coaching than Mallory's. Pelini was a DB guy.
2) Studrawa - The OL has been horrible and can't block for their life. Their run blocking improved under him last year, but pass blocking completely went to the shitter both last year and this year.
3) Lane - This one is a tough one, as the DL was good last year, but outside of the suspended RJF and Dorsey, the rest sucked last year. There should not have been such a substantial drop off when Dorsey was hurt/out.
4) McCarthy - WRs have not developed under him near enough, especially TT, but maybe the regression of Byrd is just his own thing. He maybe should be retained.
5) Henson - I know he is a TE coach and Recruiting coordinator, but our TE play outside of Dickson is horrible. Cole last year couldn't catch a cold except for in the NC game. Peveto should be moved to recruiting coordinator and defensive assistant (no specific position) and then hire 4 defensive guys (Coordinator, DB, LB, and DL coaches).
This gives us 5 offensive coaches (counting Les) and 5 defensive guys. Les can do the TE coaching since that was his job in the NFL to begin with and this leaves us an even distribution in the coaches.

i know of someone who could really bring a Clean approach to the defense and recruiting at lsu

also, on mattison, i've heard that while he's a tremendous recruiter and position coach/teacher, he doesn't have a great track record as a playcaller.
there's a reason strong retained sole playcalling rights.

all he asks for are some little donations. if you think his product is worth a coke a week, then you should donate.

half the roster would be kids from john curtis
recruits would have to send shirtless pics in order to be offered

That is my take also. I don't care for stupid talk like the previous writer, but Peveto has coached on a lot of staffs and he is a good recruiter, so I would not refer to him or anyone as my previous friend has.
He can ceratinly help as a recruiting coordinator.

give our players meth at the half would also give them that 2nd half fire we've been looking for

GeauBOB, If you gonna fire five offensive coaches why not fire the man at the top and let him bring in an additional 5 defensive coaches. Les Miles is an IDIOT and here is the perfect example. 63 yard field goal attempt INTO THE WIND. Is that the best play we got??????????? How can the head coach allow that kind of STUPID NONSENSE TO HAPPEN? DISPUTE THAT. 63 yards into the freaking wind and your gonna try a field goal...
Note to LES; Remember the Kentucky win The berlin right play.
Les is putting his arm around players after the body slam and kicking the ball in the stands.
Note to LES; This is the NCAA not the WWE Raw Thursday night smackdown. Its ok put your arm around him Les. LES IS AN IDIOT

we could let Moffit go as well
a little Smirnoff and Gatorade pre-workout supplement before the team hits the weight room would bring big results on the field

Uncle Stu:
I think LSU has good special teams for the most part. They are very tough on kick offs, and decent on returns. The only question was the punt team, which seems to have done ok this year after some formation questions. But, I don't see getting on Peveto as this aweful coach. He is certainly not a good D-C, but I thought his special teams coahcing did pretty good last year. We did win the National Championship and Holiday seems to be a step away from all the way anytime he touches.

then you're not looking
outside of David, our Spec Teams were terrible last year. Our kick coverage was non-existent, nobody stayed in their lanes, we constantly got pinned deep b/c of our shitty punt block formation - it was an absolute nightmare - and that was ALL PEVETO

i asked clean what he weighed one time and he said something like anywhere from 195-220. Ed Orgeron would rape him.

LSU did win the National Championship with Peveto as the Special teams coach didn't they??? I don't remember any big special teams breakdowns last year, and the Tigers have always been real hitters and headhunters on kick off, plus Trindon ran a couple back and is always a step away from going all the way. We did have a couple of punts blocked, but good God everybody has that occasionally.
What evidence do you have that Peveto is the worst special teams coach in college football ??
