The fumbles did play a large part in the final spread, but Oregon doesn't win that game even without the turnovers (just becomes a closer finish).
I thought our defense was fine, just got worn down from the offense's continual 3 and outs and turnovers.
LSU's defense, as we knew going in, was phenomenal. Oregon's weak/inexperienced groups at WR and OL only exacerbated the problem. Truthfully, Oregon isn't a very good team right now...They remind me a lot of the 2009 Ducks that lost @ Boise. The OL has talent but is very young. The WR group has talent (3 great freshmen and a stud JC transfer) that Kelly was hoping to redshirt, but it's apparent he won't be able to do that. The Duck WR's couldn't get separation all night, allowing the Tigers to crowd the line with their CBs and Safeties. This, in turn, killed any chance of the Ducks having a run game (that was already on life support do the the LSU freaks on the dline).
Oregon isn't a good team...yet. As in 2009 though, by mid-October this could be a VERY good team if the OL comes together and some young burners step up at WR. Thankfully the schedule is pretty soft until then.
Also, Mathieu is easily the most polished DB I can ever remember Oregon playing...WOW

Despite the final outcome on the scoreboard, LSU actually did very little to win the game, except to say thank you very much for the gift fumbles close to the endzone and politely capitalize on these perfect opportunities.

I have always rooted secretly for these guys to do well but after reading their message boards and the thoughts of their fans, I hope they get skull fricked numerous times this year, still performing just enough to keep our SOS up.

I read your reply Funk. Too much truth to it, its gonna get whacked soon.

What else would you expect when your team gets embarrassed on national television. We were mentally ready for this game not Oregon.

Idk, all I know is that all of their "writers" were posting on here about how revolutionary Oregon's offense was.
Obviously, they were wrong and can't take the heat.

I like the part.."the heat was Oregon's biggest problem." No, that would be the LSU defense.
That's ok...let him imagine they could beat nearly every team in the country. Well, except those in the SEC with the exception of Ole Piss.

The main reason the "O" lost, was...the QB's helmet was obviously waaaaay to large...reminded me of Rick Moranis's Darth Vader { dark helmet } on Spaceballs...lol
OR is his head just tooo small ?

GFunk, here is the latest response to your post on there:

I wish the LSU fans would recognize that the Ducks did more to lose the game than the Tigers did to win it. If this game was played 10 times, Oregon would probably win 6 or 7 of them. We shot ourselves in the foot by fumbling and with self-inflicted penalties. Our offense was clearly better, and the LSU defense was winded at the end of the first half. If it wasn't for turnovers, LSU would have been sucking wind and looking at the scoreboard as the Ducks put up points.

LSU played like an upper tier SEC team. The team kept their eye on the prize and by the end OU was ready to go home.
Best team won. Loosers make excuses, winners win games. I'll take LSU to win.

Seems like the only way from getting banned on that board is to curtsey to the Ducks offense lol. What a bunch of morons
