Toonces is a logo that, if present, will prevent me from buying a particular piece of LSU paraphenilia. I hate how this logo looks and look for either the old tiger head (see helmet) or just the LSU letters.

Only the old timers know that. I rolled laughing the first time I heard the word toonces, knowing exactly what it was, with those driving arms!
I remember watching SNL in the 70's and never forgot Toonces.....same with Mr. Bill. OHHHNOOOO!

The hurricane behind toonces is f'ing turrble. How much money did LSU pay the firm that designed it? Obviously too much.

It's been a long time, so no I don't. I do remember having the hots for Victoria Jackson, though.
As for the LSU logo, I see another parallel between LSU and PSU. This is the original and the best:

I, too, will not purchase anything with the toonces logo. Maybe if enough people do the same, it will go the way of the "new" PSU logo.
On a side note, I won't buy anything with that awful "eye of the tiger" logo either. That, too, should be banished from LSU merchandise.
