If we are talking LSU why is Flynn not in here? JR was great but he had a really bad habit of throwing a ball down field when chased of the pocket instead of dumping it out of bounds. That lead to his interceptions. Flynn seemed smarter when it came to in game decisions, just did not have the arm of JR. I think JR is great just think Flynn did good things in the games he started for LSU. (Including the Peach Bowl)

JaMarcus had less interceptions in 05 and 06 than Flynn did, dumbass. He also threw less picks in more games. Flynn missed two games but still threw more picks than Russell.

Flynn 2007: Passer rating of 125.76, completion percentage of 56.3%.
Russell 2006: Passer rating of 167, completion percentage of 67.8%.
Those numbers are insane!

Too many good QB's, one you must list has these records:
CAREER
#1 in Consecutive Passes without an INT. 137
#1 in Completion % 62.0
He also has the highest Passing Efficiency of an LSU QB. ever. 146.0
He was also the first LSU QB to throw back to back 1,000 yd. + seasons. He missed 1,000 yds. his first season by 29 yds. or it would have been three in a row.
This QB is Alan Risher.
It would be easy to take this list...
WINS BY A STARTING QUARTERBACK
1. Tommy Hodson (1986-89) 31-14-1
2. Herb Tyler (1995-98) 27-11
3. JaMarcus Russell (2004-06) 25-4
4. Warren Rabb (1957-59) 25-7
5. Y.A. Tittle (1944-47) 23-11-3
Who would you take off to add Risher?
Hard to list just 5.

" I understand. I'll take my medicine if need be.
But, would you plug in Hodson for Rohan, Mauck, Flynn, Russell or even Tyler or Jefferson? (not on stats)"
All day long.
1. Y.A. can't argue with a hall of famer
2. Bert Jones
3. Warren Rabb
4. JaMarcus
5. Doc

LSU would be 11-2 last season with Hodson.

Rabb, Flynn, Mauck (NC) - Tyler - Hillman (perfect season except for Archie Who)

quote:While not incorrect, you could make an arguement for Bert Jones as the most gifted. You have to take into account the era he played in as well.

How many years did Bert pass for over a 1,000 yd. in a season?
This stat shocks some.
