If Nick trusts Lane why shouldn't we? I would take the guy in a heartbeat. I just look what he has done with their offense and that's enough for me. TN was a bad fit for him. Kiffin as HMFIC, Sark as OC and Bebe running the D.

People don't under pattersons situation. He's retiring at TCU whenever he wants
He makes 5 million plus he was given a huge chunk of land years ago by TCU boosters that sits on the Barnett Shale, a huge pipeline sw of Fort Worth. His mineral rights are off the charts and it's good for as long as he's at TCU. Kind of on the down low but it's pretty well known around TCU circles
Bottom line, he ain't leaving

Pretty much the lineup he had at USC when he was fired. Not sure about Sark but the other two were there. Kiffin's hire would cause LSU fans to miss Les Miles.
2010 USC 8–5 5–4
2011 USC 10–2 7–2
2012 USC 7–6 5–4
2013 USC 3–2* 0–2 *Fired on the tarmac after losing to Arizona State 62 to 41 after another loss to Washington State.
This guy (Kiffin) in 7 seasons only won more than 8 games one time. Les is coaching in the SEC and for him 9 wins in a season is considered a failure.
And yet, LSU fans want to hire a guy who has been fired during the season at two of his three head coaching stops. Seriously, WTF?

Nick trusts him to run his offense. Big difference in that and running a billion dollar college football brand.
