really? uncertaintity of the situation helps uf.
And he may have not lied. All he had to do is to take 2 snaps, and he took snaps in practice.

now LSU has to prepare for both.
LSU is going to prepare for both no matter what.
preparing for only one this week would have been foolish
they have to prepare for the system, but as soon as there was any question who the starter was to be, they were going to prepare for both
short of coming flat out and saying, "Tim is not practicing or playing this week at all" he was going to get attention

how does that help UF?
Do you really think Miles wouldn't have prepared for Tebow at all if he was held out of practice this week?

but would have prepared more for Brantley.
the system is basically the same with some slight changes in playcalling
they'll still try and run alot of option, alot of misdirection, alot of read/gives and try to get demps and rainey to the outside, they still have an advantage on the line, they're still at a disadvantage with their WR's so running is their strength
Urban basically ran the same offense with leak and brantley is a better runner than leak

Are you serious? To make the LSU defense waste time studying Tebow film and how to contain him.
Dude - Bill Bellichick and Sean Payton routinely risk huge fines and forfeitures of draft picks hiding or masking the status of injuries on role players, #3 receivers, and special teams players.
You don't think it makes sense for UF to mask the status of arguably the greatest college player of this generation?

do you seriously think they wouldn't do it anyway?
short of broken bones or complete obvious evidence he wasn't going to play (extended hospital stay etc), ANY CHANCE of him playing would cause LSU to prepare for both
if there was any chance for him to play, LSU was (and is) going to prepare for him to play
more importantly, they are preparing for the same system has Urban has run since he's been there

thats because the NFL requires them to release accurate info on injuries (for betting reasons)
NCAA has nothing to do with that....ie Miles lying about severity of past injuries and declaring for medical redshirts

no, because LSU was going to prepare for both anyway

Doug Moureau on the tv show with Allen Risher saying legally no way Tebow will play.

He will be on the sidelines sporting Bose noise cancellation headphones

what kind of music does Tebow listen to?
Posted on 10/7/09 at 9:32 pm to msutiger
I've been saying all week that there's no way he plays. Brantley is the real deal, though. We need to focus on ways to shut him down, and slow down the Florida playmakers.

If I was a UF fan, i'd be pissed tebow was stealing my frosh's snaps
Brantley is not a freshman. He's a sophmore

I thought this thread would be about how msutiger doesn't think Tebow is a good qb.

Had Meyer come out and said Tebow is out for 2-3 weeks, why would we prepare for Tebow???

Which answers your question regarding what is the advantage of saying Tebow took snaps if he didn't.

Ok. This may be Germans but, let's apply some logic and reason (though there may be none)...
Is Tim Tebow an NFL draft prospect --> Yes
Does FL still have a chance to play for NC even if they lose w/o Tebow --> Yes
...then what reason would anyone in their right mind (I know there's a Tebow joke in here) let Tebow play on Saturday?
