Ross is going up against the bench guys right?
Posted on 1/31/10 at 3:59 pm to thunderbird1100
Probably. Ranaudo went yesterday. Still a really good showing, though.

Any idea on how that Koeneman guy is doing? Supposedly he is a really good power hitter. Could be another Matt Clark.

He hit 50 homers his two years in JUCO. We have a lot of good bats, but only 9 spots.
eta. It might take a while to get it all figured out, but in time we will field a very potent lineup.

Ross still looked good in the two innings he pitched, even if it was against the second team. Mormann also looked good in his two innings (8th and 9th).

Either one of the walkons pitch yet?
Posted on 1/31/10 at 5:14 pm to sec417r39
Not in the past 2 scrimmages

Can't Mormann reach the mid 90's?

Yea. Friends with one of the student managers and he has been friends with Mormann awhile and said he can reach 96

As the past 2 years have gone for the Tigers, the day1 starting lineup will be drastically different then it will be come regional/CWS time. Maineiri likes to switch things around and give everybody a chance. And whoever steps up will get the oppurtunity to start everyday.
And im glad to hear good things about Trey Watkins. Although im a little suprised I didnt hear more of him throughout the offseason. Kinda seemed like we got him off the side of the road and nobody had a clue who he was. Hope he does good.

He touched 94 in JC but was 85-89 most of the fall. He's been a big disappointment and better pick it up if he wants to get innings this spring.
