Thanks everyone. Does anyone remember if we brought our entire band in 2004, or is this the first time the full band has came to Tiger Stadium? I wasn't in the band then.

Great sounding band. I remember Troy always having a good college band even when the school was Division II back in the 80's during their trips to play Nicholls State. But, nothing compares to "The Golden Band from Tiger Land".

I've heard about you guys. I can't wait to hear it in person. I'll check youtube for some videos of your band.

Randall had a big game that day.

He threw 3 INTs vs. Troy!!

Only 3 interceptions?!? That's not a big game for Marcus Randall... That's a career game! Maybe the best one he had in his amazing time at LSU!

I passed up music scholarships from Juliard and Berkley so I could play in the Golden Band From Tiger Band.

In know...some would call it stupid...

...many would call it stupid, actually.

Nonetheless, playing pregame in front of 70-80k thousand (before the last expansion) was something I grew up watching and was really looking forward to doing one day. It was way, way cool...I'll never forget my first pregame.

There are several similarities between 2004 and 2008, actually.

We're coming off of a national title, hope there is no hangover this year.

We don't have a QB with much experience. I hope we won't be rotating QB's, I hope Jarrett Lee is the full time QB, but we rotated in '04, and may be doing that in '08.

However, we play ya'll in game 2 this year, the team will still be excited and ready to play. In '04 we played ya'll right after playing UGA and Florida, typical let down game. I was there and LSU was lucky to win. I think we fumbled inside of our own 25 yard line 3 times.

Yes, we play dixie, but that's pregame, which of course, you won't be seing. We may not do halftime. I hope we do, but many of the big schools we play don't let us do halftime so they can play their entire show. It's kind of shitty, but it happens.

No, Troy didn't bring their band at all in 2004.

I've never heard of us keeping a full band from doing a halftime show. We do a new one every week so I'm sure we'll plan for it.

That's cool I cant wait. When we went to UGA last year we weren't allowed on the field. Even thought we had enough time to play our full show in the stands plus like 2-3 stand tunes before the teams came back out.

The fourth song for our first show is God Bless the Child.

I pretty much did the same thing, as LSU not only didn't have the major I wanted, but didn't even offer any individual classes in that subject. (Film Production) The one TV News-Film Broadcast Journalism class that LSU offered back then was a joke. They didn't even have master/slave video tape editors to teach the students how to edit video tape.......

90% of the people in the stadium will give a shite less about how good the other teams band is. Actually I don't think many really care, or even know how to tell, how good LSU's band is.

This was always a major topic of discussion in Tiger Band. (And probably still is) We busted our arses in practice (Some a lot more than others) trying to put on a good show and always wondered how many people in Tiger Stadium really gave a shite about halftime and what we did or didn't do on the field. I was always saying to my drumline buddy's that most likely the overwhelming majority of LSU fans only care about "Down the Hill" and "Pre-Game" and that halftime was just something to waste time before the game started again.......
