Taylor was NFL-bound but some of these kids.. all you have to do is go 3-4 years without getting in trouble and you’ll be a millionaire

Stupid can’t be overcome.

Are you the same guy who alluded to someone jinxing the program prior to Ingram's suspension. Pay attention!!! The only jinxing going on, is what the coaching staff brings upon itself my continuing to recruit shite Bags to play at LSU. There are high character kids out there...find them! The compliance guy isn't the problem either. If a crime has taken place, it's still an act by a criminal whether he is caught or not.

"high character" doesn't win NC football games. Ask Saban or Urban. Great football players who often aren't of the highest character or academic status win NC's. Do you want NC's or do you want a team of highly moral academic scholars?

If that's the case, why didn't you tell us about three months ago when he was arrested?

That's not my argument. What I am saying is one of two mistakes have occurred:If it really took this long to "find this out" then that is inept and sad. If they knew it and tried, unsuccessfully, to brush it under the rug, that is criminal.

There is no magic bullett here. No "right" answer, much less perfect.
There isn't a CFB version of the no-fly list where names are kicked out upon a flag or arrest. There are no ankle bracelets with Toonces on them.
On campus, in session, the coaches have a huge responsibility. Otherwise, these are competent adults. All the coaches have to work with is reactions and post-action consequences. What they do with Taylor only helps with the next player and hopefully provides guidance of how he conducts himself.
We do not want to become Gene Chizik's AU where the zero tolerance curfews and other things come into play where you have a team in revolt. Again, penalize when they do wrong for the guidance of the rest. Otherwise, there is no prophylactic or preventative measures for adults making bad decisions.
Now I do agree that if they (LSU) try/tried to conceal it is criminal. Well, maybe not criminal- definitely not ethical or moral. A violation of school policy for sure, by the coaching staff.
We've defined over and over on the Fulton threads the NCAA has no oversight with criminal actions (beating women, stolen guns), only violation of their bylaws (tampering); so no one should raise that standard.

I respect what you are saying but let's not kid ourselves. While there is no official "list" of players getting arrested, if you don't even know one of you kids was the get-away driver in a robbery and got busted - that is inept.
