it is kind of disheartening that the other corners that have been around for a year or two do not have a better grasp than a player who has only had 4 days of official practice
we really dont have much talent at CB.
Eugene has moved to safety.
Calhoun switched positions, he's new to CB. and young
St Julien was kind of a 2nd tier prospect.
and Ron Brooks has shown flashes, but also plays some safety
there isnt much else there. It's not far fetched that Mathieu can beat out 2 guys who have never played and are still young(Calhoun and St Julien), and Ron Brooks.

CB is a big need going into next season, and this season depth was only as much of an issue as to how good our young guys would be...hence the 3 CB commitments for the c/o 2011. Mathieu coming in and getting on the depth chart is not a surprise. What is a surprise is that people are actually complaining about having a stud recruit come in and be in a position to contribute. For some reason I always underestimate the negativity of the rant.

I'm glad to hear he had a good scrimmage. I think he will see a lot of playing time this season and make the most of it, he reminds me of Joe Haden.
