aww come one man dont bring ULM in this...i have my degree from there and while getting it wore LSU apparel up and down that school...I bleed Purple and Gold...just got my education from ULM and made that known...ULL is like the red headed step child trying to get its recognition..ULM is just sitting back doing its thing and banging out the Skiing and Fishing Championships

ULL overall doesn't hit well. They have a good Top 4 hitters then it's a huge dropoff after that.

Of course, LSU A&M BR is our official name. We acknowledge that, and are proud of it. But there is one very important distinction. We are the flagship university of the state of Louisiana. This little guy by the name of Huey Pierce Long, Jr. made it that way. Therefore all of Louisiana from Shreveport to Venice identifies with the Baton Rouge campus of Louisiana State University Agricultural and Mechanical as such.
The same cannot be said about ULL. Only people from Southwestern Louisiana identify with it, and claim any sort of allegiance to it. The only people outside of that area who have an allegiance to that school are those who went there, and those who are originally from southwestern Louisiana. ULL, or The University of Southwest Louisiana are more appropriate names than the University of Louisiana.
