Beating a complete UNC and a diminished UNC is about the same difference between beating UGA or beating Kentucky. Yep, it matters....depending on how LSU finishes the season

You are making the same argument....

Truth is regardless of what happens to these players, if UNC loses ugly to LSU everyone will say what if;

However, if UNC bounces back and makes a solid run at the ACC, everyone one will forget about these players and the UNC win for LSU WILL factor strongly anyway..

My point is simply this, that I would rather LSU beat a better UNC team than a lesser UNC team.

It's a meaningless point.

If the only two options are we win against a very good team, or we win against a not so good team, then everyone is going to choose the former option.

But, the real issue is do we want to play this game against a full UNC team making it a 50/50 type of game vs. a lesser UNC team making it a 75/25 type of game.

To me, I'd rather play against the lesser UNC team.

In the end a win is a win.

It may get some talk early in the season, but if LSU takes care of business and wins ball games in the end it will take care of itself.

With the fact that a loss could potentially cause the season to unravel after only one game, I'll take a win any way we can get it.

Polls really don't matter to a team in the SEC.

If LSU keeps winning and somehow wins the SEC undefeated ( ) beating UNC without two defensive starters won't mean shite. A one loss SEC team in pretty much a lock for the title game unless two others are undefeated. The same scenario of beating UNC like this won't mean anything.

No, it won't. LSU needs a win in the worst way, I'll take it anyway I can get it.

They only brought up one DT and a WR. Who they named, but other names may pop up. This could get ugly for UNC and they could face punishment similar to USC. Hasn't their coach been involved in sanctions at a different school? Whatever happens, the Tigers will still be playing a very strong defensive team. It took the violations committee a couple of years to come down on USC.

If UNC lets everyone play before a decision is made by the NCAA, they had better make sure they're 100% clean, otherwise they're setting themselves up for some major problems.
