Just realized today that we're 7+ weeks removed from the McNeese game having been canceled because of lighting, and I've still seen no sign of a refund.
So, I thought I'd call the ticket office and get a status update.

I was informed that since I had paid by check, those refunds would have to have checks issued by the University, so it could take "a while" for that to happen.

No problem, I can understand that....But here is where they lost me. I then inquired as to what the time-frame should be on that, and was told, "There is no time- frame".

REALLY? Are you kidding me? It's not like I called the Monday after the game was canceled...It's been over 7 weeks! And they can't provide a more informative answer then that?

I would have rathered been told it could take up to 3 months, or 6 months for that matter...Instead of the "we're clueless" answer of, "there is no time-frame".

I'd be happy that you are getting the refund. Not many places would issue them and most couldn't afford to do it if they wanted to.

Meh, I'm not worried about it. I consider it a donation. #Baller

They should only refund for tickets that were scanned.

If it's that big of a deal maybe you should be saving instead of spending your money on football games....

Chill, you'll get your cash. Doubt this is a simple as writing a 102k+ checks....

I think y'all are missing my point...

I actually left the stadium that night with zero expectations of there being a refund. And as a season ticket holder for the last 24 years, I would have been fine with it, after all, I understand LSU doesn't control the weather....and S#it happens!

Also, I'm not waiting on this money to pay bills or feed the family.

My only point is, from a business point of view, it's somewhat embarrassing that they can't provide a better answer then they did.

They aren't going to give you a made up time frame. If they don't meet that time frame, then they have to deal with everyone calling again complaining.

Maybe because they have to pay McNeese first before they worry about all the refunds to dole out. Sometimes they don't pay other teams until a month or so after the game is played anyway.

Maybe you should take a reading comprehension course instead of worrying about my finances...

Actually, they don't sell 102,000 season tickets, and I doubt that many are sold as singles, and I'm sure a fair number are paid by CC...

So, I'm confident the actual number of check refunds needed will be significantly below 102k.
But aside from that...Yes, it REALLY is that simple. What part exactly do you think makes it complicated?

Anyone that has not received a refund yet will be awarded a free ticket to the Title IX sporting event of their choice. (Excluding Women's Basketball)

Geaux Tigers,
