USC's best win is better than LSU's. I'd also say that ND and Cal are both better than LSU's 2nd best win.

I really don't care. We all have our bowl tie-ins. All that matters is we keep on winning.

if UGA and OSU played right now my money would be on UGA

I like how the general tone of LSU's trip to Seattle has gone from "Tigers Escape With Win" to
"We beat UW convincingly".
We beat a team that beat UW in overtime. This Saturday, we will beat an Oregon team that throttled UW legitimately, thereby putting all transitivity concerning USC, UW and LSU to bed.
And if you happen to beat Bama you really won't give a shite anymore anyway.
If you don't, it won't matter.

LSU faithful/USC haters-
USC lost earlier in the season. Now keep our panties straight. Sometimes it does matter. Some teams get stronger, some weaker, some stay the same over the course of the season. USC has consistently shown they fall in the former group Voters likely take that into account. Furthermore, USC lost not only early, but without their starting QB. Its legit and think voters apply that as well.
Let's not forget that USC has better quality wins (most as the visiting team) than other teams with one losses and most no loss teams as well.
Finally, USC had key players return recently, including their deep thread, RoJo. He obviously has not lost a step. If Tebow was out the first six weeks and then returned, you better believe the voters will look at UF differently.
Why do we not see complaints about UF and Bama being ahead of other teams with the same losses or even LSU being ahead of teams with the same # of losses?.....I thoughts so.
Right or wrong, USC is 4 in the polls and 5 in the BCS. Are they the 4th or 5th best team, very likely to beat all but the teams ahead of them? Many, if not most, think so. Do they deserve to be that high in the polls? It depends of criteria voters use, whether subjective or objective.
Fight on and keep the USC threads a comin'.

The only thing that really matters is that Pete and Kirk have a series of commercials filmed in Pete's love nest.

Because they all have tougher SOS than the "other teams" you speak of. That's the other thing that's great about the SEC and having a CG. The winner of the USC/Oregon game pretty much wins the conference, but the winner of the Bama/LSU game is only likely to make it to the CG. Then you get to play the best team from the other half of the league. This extra game gives a huge boost in all of the polls.

I've never liked the "when you lose argument". Having said that, I would probably rank USC higher than LSU at this point also. LSU fans seem to forget that USC lost while playing their backup QB, and as LSU fans should have learned, the QB is a very important position, regardless of the rest of the talent on offense. USC's win over Oregon St is no less impressive than LSU's win over Miss State. Who is the best team that LSU has beaten this year, UGA? I'd easily take Notre Dame over them, and probably Ohio St.
LSU has a chance in the next few weeks to make big jumps in the polls. We shouldn't be concerned with where we are ranked at this point.

I need an explination on how an undefeated Cinny team that has pretty much throttled everyone they have played, who was number 5 last week, drops to number 8 and gets jumped by USC. Makes no sense. How does an undefeated team that was ranked ahead another team the week before, win and then get jumped by a team that wins by six at home against a shitty team? Unreal.

Do you really need an explanation? How many good teams have they played?
Being undefeated doesn't mean jack if you don't play anyone.

Has anyone noticed how the polls have been creeping oregon up further and further each week. Got them to number 10 this week. I believe they did this for the reason that if Oregon does beat USC this weekend, they will have lost to a top 10 team and will keep USC right around 11 or 12 in the polls. Very similar to when they lost to the lost to Washington. If they win they will have beat the number 10 team in the country and this will justify them being ranked fourth in the polls. Poll Bias At Its Best

Or maybe they moved Oregon up because they have won every game since the first game.
Who should be ahead of them?
