Beerz-our gang is staying at the Andra Wednesday-Sunday, when we bail out for a couple of days in Victoria-we'll have to hoist a couple of cold ones together. Andra was a recommendation from a local contact of mine, and it sounds like they have a cool bar.

Go down south bro and try our seafood and food......your taste buds wouldn't know what hit them:) I understand where your coming from. I have lived in the northwest most of my life, you guys just don't know what real food is. Its ok, its not too late for you to find out:)

They just started light rail from the airport to downtown. probably the cheapest way to go. otherwise, a cab will be about $35.
Anyone done this or know much about it? Seems like the way to go for sure.

Is there any restaurant in Seattle that serves fried, whole Dugeness Crab like they do in San Franciso's China Town?
I don't think so. I think they call that "hong kong style" seafood. I had it at a place down in Irvine once where they deep garlic fried a whole king crab.

I was just adding a lot to the Guide and thought I'd post this picture of the Ice Caves, which are only about 45 miles from Seattle:

JT, just sent you an email and I was wondering where LSU fans watch sporting events here in the Bellevue area as my wife and I just moved up here a couple of weeks ago?

Just got back from 3 days in Vancouver and 3 in Seattle. It was a great time and I am sure most Tiger fans are going to love it.

Would you give some insight on the weather there and if it's a good or bad idea to wear shorts to the game? It can get cool in the northwest.

I'm guessing it will be shorts weather, although the upper 50's is definitely a possibility for late in the game.

From the linked document:

Bellevue is a large city just east (about 6 miles) across Lake Washington from Seattle. It's very affluent and clean but doesn't have a whole lot of character. You will definitely need a rental car. They basically have all the big chain high rise hotels.

It will yet into 60s by games end. I'm wearing shorts and t shirt unless there is rain but I live in Portland so I'm used to it. I'd say wear jeans

thanks, just looking for other opinions

and apparently our hotel is right around the corner from a brewery/brewpub, so I've got that going for me
Going to try to get out to Issaquah for the brewery there too, as well as some downtown

Does this seem like a good plan?
We are staying at The Courtyard in Tukwila by the airport.
Friday we will do downtown Seattle. We'll eat lunch in Chinatown (someone recommended the Canton Noodle House) and eat dinner at the Crab Pot.
Saturday we will either do Mt. Ranier or Deception Pass before the game.
Sunday we will drive to the Olympic Peninsula and hunt for vampires and werewolves.
Monday we leave.

I don't like the sound of this:
Just make sure to leave yourselves plenty of time. Traffic can be bad (especially on I-5). I'd leave by 7AM to do Rainier.

Is Tukwila really that bad?
I always like to stay close to the airport; plus, we will be spending most of our time away from the hotel.
