I wouldn't say scripted, but the best player on the defense at that point was Rocky D., so take it for what it's worth.

Why would Les want to create more of a QB controversy than he will already have?

You think LM cares what we think bout the QB position or for that matter, NS or UM or any successful coach?

We can all fuss and stomp our feet to the cows come home, but there is no "controversy" in his mind.

So, if the play was 'scripted' and the db allowed the wr to get open for the td, to what end or purpose would that be?

If they had scripted a TD it would have been JJ

Just when I thought reading comprehension couldn't get any lower.

Did I say I thought it was scripted? No asswipe. I read the comment in the newspaper and thought it was a retarded thing to say about a spring game. I didn't see the play so I just asked if anyone else who had seen it thought the same.

Come on now. We're making too big of a deal about this--anyone who watched the 1st half knows Mett has a big time arm and it appeared to be just a regular bomb. Also, remember Mett had some success in the first half vs. the first team defense.

I think this is the correct answer, sarcasm or not.

I understand sarcasm, yours was just poorly used especially if you knew everyone else in the thread was talking about the scripted play in a different context.

If you did in fact know that, why would your sarcasm be funny? It wouldn't, it would sound stupid.

Apparently no one else was paying attention. Dexter Alexander was the CB in coverage, of course Boone is going to fly right by him.

If Miles was going to script a TD, it would have been for JJ.

This, and you know what, even if he did JJ couldn't make it happen b/c he's plays like poopoo

I was. I think that Miles comment to Krag was to keep the scrubs from being embarrassed, and wanted to work on the short stuff. Krags call was payback for Chief's "illegal" blitz.

I could agree with this. Definitely a vanilla offense all day which is expected and gladly accepted. Looking back at the play though, it was just a straight drop back and fly route. It wasn't a trick play or even play action.

I don't know that I like the idea of our Defense knowing exactly what the offense is doing, and the second the offense goes unscripted......60 yard bomb for touchdown by our 3rd teamers.
