For real. I was totally shocked when I saw Eastern Washington after moving out here. All you ever know about Washington is "evergreen trees and mountains". But you get east of those Cascades and it starts to look more like Arizona.

This actually must be one of the most geographically diverse states in the union. It has mountains, rain forest, desert and wetlands.

Not sure yet, staying at my dads. Bring a blow up LSU Tiger to put in his front yard. Probably invite some of my huskies friends over and invite some LSU friends. Even considering driving there so I can bring the dogs and have them in their LSU jerseys. It should be a fun crazy time.

Probably leave Thursday...return Sunday.

No firm plans yet.

It's going to be cool seeing a lot of purple and gold so far from Tiger Stadium.

Have done the San Francisco to Seattle coastal drive several times. Always seem to try to squeeze in the redwoods as they are breathtaking every time you see them. Oregon coastline is beautiful...stop and see the lighthouses. Once you get up in the Olympic National Park, stop by Lake Crescent, which is a beautiful mountain lake about 20 miles from Port Angeles. The wife and I have rented the A-frame cabins and the water is extremely clear with probably 15-20 ft. visibility. I believe the lake is 600 ft. deep or so at its deepest. Yep, if you go to Victoria, stop in at Butchart Gardens, it never disappoints.

I posted this on a thread earlier this week but it is worth repeating.

Make your reservations now to eat at Canlis Restaurant. It is one of the best in the country and the people are great.
