Well I just figure that ranking and perception still matters to the extent that a non SEC champ team from the SEC West could get that 4th playoff spot.
Auburn losing is fun for like a few hours and if you have some Auburn buds it is fun to tease them but it doesn't HELP LSU to have them lose to JSU and there's about a 1% chance it could cost us a playoff spot.

no, the playoff committee will judge according to the way the game is played much more than squeaking out a close win
